Dear Readers,

I write to you directly this morning with the best of tidings, too close to my heart to allocate to news report even penned by one of the Daily Prophet's many talented reporters. Competition in the media benefits everyone and I, for one, have always encouraged a diversity in print and on the airways. In the marketplace of the social and political there is incredible potential for diverse perspectives, bringing the best possible coverage on the most important topics.

And so, in the spirit of this editorial fellowship, I announce that the Daily Prophet will to cede all coverage of the trivial, vain, and cruel to the Witch Weekly and its bravely anonymous correspondents. So too shall we leave to them any incitement of harassment against children, and the baiting of violent criminals.

We trust they will continue their comprehensive execution of THE same and whole-heartedly recommend them to anyone interested in such stinking refuse!
