[Oct 15th] Spill This Blood for You [Feliks] on March 11, 2018, 09:56:16 AM A small package arrives at breakfast, wrapped in neat brown packaging that smells faintly of birchwood and black pepper cologne. There is nothing to indicate the identity of its sender. A plain white card has the recipient's first name neatly printed across. It contains a ball of Tenacious Twine and a thin, battered book entitled "The Lycan". The book appears to have been taken out from the Hogwarts Library Restricted Section in the year 1980, although the name it had been borrowed under is now too faded to read. On the first page, scribbled in block letters above Chapter 1, there is an incantation - Necto Nassa."The Lycan" is a densely written but fairly innocuous publication from the late 19th century. It describes various characteristics of Lycantrophy and the dangers posed by werewolves on a full moon. There is a chapter devoted to the healing of wounds made by werewolves, another on the physical traits of a werewolf when transformed - average speed, strength, aggressiveness and habits. Some of these details have been crossed out in the same hand as the incantation was written, replaced by more accurate numbers or recent details. Skip to next post
