An Audience with the Queen

on February 05, 2018, 02:26:00 PM

A letter arrives at the Ministry of Magic addressed to Edwin Glass. The letter is in a purple envelope and within is also an expensive purple satin tie.

Queen G,

Minister Edwin Glass,
Office for the Minister for Magic
Ministry of Magic
London
26th August

Dearest Minister,

Your suave intellect and clear ambition and power has made it onto Witch Weekly’s radar and I would find it highly pleasurable to have an exclusive on our elusive but oh so fascinating new Minister for Magic.

Do write back,

Queen G, Editor

Dear Mr Glass,

I owled you a couple of days ago but my owl clearly got lost. Poor little soul.
As the Editor of Witch Weekly, I am itching to get my teeth meet and have an exclusive with the new man in charge.

Write to me soon,
Genevieve Garcia

Edwin,

Perhaps I haven’t been clear? I would be ecstatic to meet you. The Queen wants a tête à tête with the King.

Perhaps you didn’t like the tie?

Yours,
G

The owl carrying the parcel to the Ministry of Magic clearly struggled. Inside the parcel is a short letter with a bottle of vintage 25 year old Ogden's firewhiskey and a copy of this week's Witch Weekly.

Edwin,

My commiserations. It looks like even the Minister for Magic can't beat the wizard that was a war hero at 18 years old. Maybe next time.

Yours,
Genny

P.S. At least tell me there was a queue?

Not so secretly glad to be beaten by Longbottom in the poll. Frankly, it would say more about the rest of them if I’d won.

Commiserations will definitely help with the disappointment, many thanks.

Would you be free for lunch tomorrow, about 1:30? There is a Muggle place round the corner from the office.

Regards,
