It was cold, it was windy, and it was wet - three things Lorelei really didn’t like when it came to weather. One of the wizards at Level Five had told her yesterday that Hogsmeade had had lovely sunny weather that whole weekend, so Lorelei had quickly scheduled her meeting for the next day. That had been a mistake, and she was now silently cursing herself as she making her way down the main street with her willow wand held high, an
umbrella charm trying it’s best to keep her dry.
The reason for her trip to Scotland had been that of a wizard wanting to move to America. The problem had been that said wizard seemed to be related to a warlock currently on the MACUSA’s wanted list for selling counterfeit wand permits, and Lorelei had been sent to interview the fellow. But, even though she had sent an owl announcing her planned arrival, no-one had answered the door of the small cottage when she had arrived, which irritated her greatly. Lorelei was a very precise woman, and expected everyone to act accordingly.
With the time of the day being closer to noon she had decided to stay in Hogsmeade and try and find somewhere to have lunch, rather than go back to the office, and then head back to the cottage to see if someone was home then. She was trying to stay optimistic, but with her heels kept getting dirtier from the now muddy street, and her
coat flapping violently in the wind, that turned out to be increasingly hard. And to top it all off she was in a town she had never been in, not knowing where to go next.
