[June 6] Measurements and Business [Arius] on July 18, 2009, 04:30:43 PM The day was starting out like any other day in fact life had become rather routine. There was a list of client appointments, a stack of orders to fill and hemming to be done. The intern was having their day off, which was rightfully deserved since Aurelia had taken them to France to deal with an extremely large order for an important French client. Aurelia need all hands on deck, which was why the appointment list had grown in size for today. Aurelia was not complaining though it actually gave her something to do rather than just sitting back and instructing. She did have the fall line to work on, which was consuming much of her time, especially for the France line. Despite how much Aurelia worked she knew an intern needed time off. That was why today she was doing the measurements on the appointment sheet.Aurelia had just been sparked with an idea that would fix a design issue she was having with a dress she wanted for the fall fashion show at the end of the summer. Of course this happen just as her next appointment strolled into the back directed by the girl who was minded the front of the store. “One moment,” she said as she rushed to her desk to scribble the idea down on a bad before quickly running a rough sketch of the idea below the almost illegible scrawl. Her handwriting was messy at best but when rushed it became something illegible to everyone else. She knew of course as she fluttered around her desk keeping the idea flowing that she might appear unfocused on her job, as she had so much going on. She was even doing some stitching as a needle and tread were madly working on a garment behind her.“Stand on the stool please,” she instructed barely looking from her paper till she was done. “Gorgeous,” she said as she glanced up to see the face of a model. A groan was stifled as best she could hoping he would not be annoying, it was Arius a well known face among the fashion world. “Remove your layers,” she instructed leaving out a please and once done there was no thank you to follow up the actions. It was early enough, there really should not have been that many people there yet. They must have heard he was coming, obviously. Gathering like that, well, he couldn't really think of any other reason for which they would be there so early. The fact that it wasn't early for the majority of them meant nothing to him. In Arius' world the sun didn't start shining until he opened his eyes. He was smart, certainly, but that didn't mean the logical side of him always won out... in fact it rarely ever did.He stopped finally in front of the store that he was supposed to be at and entered quickly, whipping his dark sunglasses off his face before pursing his lips in a manner that made his assistant trailing behind him grimace. "Bring me an Aqua Frizzante, chilled but not cold. No ice. A slice of lemon." If it was wrong, she would pay. He moved forward and leaned against the counter, giving the girl that stood behind it a dazzling smile. He was here, and likely the most important of all Aurelia's appointments today. After all, his time was well-paid for.The woman arched an eyebrow and shook her head. If she were to fall for it every time a model walked in and flashed her a smile, well, she likely wouldn't have held her post very long. She motioned for him to go on through to the back and Arius did just that. He strutted purposefully towards the back fitting room and before he could speak was directed to stand on the stool. "Always business with you isn't it Snark?" Arius teased her as he moved to stand on the stool but was ordered to remove his layers."If you insist. I warn you, I'm terribly irresistible that way." He winked at her and took off his shirt, unbuttoning the buttons on his pants slowly and purposefully, pulling them down and pulling off his socks as well until he stood there in all his glory wearing his favorite underwear. They were tight glittery turquoise briefs, he always wore them during fittings as they ensured the most flattering fit. He cleared his throat and stood on the stool now. This was really much better. She critiqued them in hopes of making sure they were exactly what she needed to solve her problem she was having with the design. Arius would just have to wait for her attention. Barely looking up from the parchment, “Warn me, don’t you always warn me?” Aurelia looked up to see Arius without a shirt and removing his pants in a slow manner. She contained herself from rolling her eyes. Supermodels, they all thought they were Merlin’s gift to the wizarding world. Of course they were handsome, gorgeous men but they all were it wasn’t like anyone was better than the other. Arius would probably like to debate that fact, but didn’t they all.Her lips pursed as she held back a laugh at the expense of Arius’ glittery turquoise briefs. “Tell tale Arius I see,” she had seen them before and it never got easier to hold back the laughter she wished to cruelly give. Of course he was paid good money to stand there, and often her own money for him to stand there so no need to laugh at him. With wand in hand she got her measuring tap to commence the action of measuring Arius’ sizes. It would not be surprising to Aurelia if his measurements were exactly as they were before, but it was customary to get them just incase there was any shift in mass be it muscle or heaven forbid fat between shows. “Stand straight Arius!” She snapped as she took a turn around the stool to watch the measuring tape. A note pad and quill were taking down the measurements as she let her eyes wander. No matter how often she saw him, or others like him she couldn’t help but give them the once over. Aurelia usually tried to do it discretely as it was not professional to stare, and she didn’t need to boost their egos anymore than the public already did. Oh to be beautiful for a living! What more could anyone ask for? People would die to be him and his fellow models. To have even an ounce of their beauty or talent would have been a blessing for many of the people in the world. Unfortunately, no one was as beautiful as him, not even the other models and that was his firm belief. No one was going to change his mind, ever. Cockiness was all a part of the ability to sell oneself commercially. He stood on the stool obediently, head tall, facing forward with a smug grin on his face. He did warn her every time didn't he? She was likely just too bashful in the face of his glory to say or do anything about the emotions that must have been eating away at her on the inside. The poor darling, Arius really would have to try and tone down the raw sexual energy that he exuded when he was around her. Thoughts of this entered his mind and he let out a small sigh, his shoulders slumping slightly in an attempt to make himself less attractive. She immediately barked for him to stand up straight. Ah, she really must have liked him.He stood up straight as she ordered, his smug smile back in place. She wanted him, obviously. Her every comment screamed it at him. Even the room seemed to be more heavy with tension than usual. The smile turned to a smirk as he began to wonder what she must have been thinking about his beautiful physique. He was a godlike specimen after all. When it came to models nothing was exactly thrilling or exciting anymore, Aurelia got over being surrounded by such beauty long ago, if she had not she would not be the success she was today. Her professionalism was what got her this far and it was what was going to keep her in business. As Arius strained again a smug smile on his face Aurelia just rolled her eyes. “Merlin you are full of yourself,” she said under her breath but probably not quite enough for Arius not to hear. Aurelia really wished this fitting could be finished soon, but there were a few more measurements that needed to be done.“So you will be used in my fall fashion show you know this yes?” Aurelia casually said as she took one final look at his measurements. She started to walk away with the pad of his measurements. “Alright you are all done you can put your clothes back on.” Aurelia would be pleased to see less of those turquoise underwear.Sorry so bad and short Skip to next post Re: [June 6] Measurements and Business [Arius] Reply #5 on August 03, 2009, 10:27:45 AM The fitting would likely be quick and businesslike despite Arius’ best efforts to turn Aruelia’s head with his good-looks and firm body. He had not succeeded yet but he had no doubt in his mind that someday he would succeed and that was all that mattered. She liked to keep her fittings very hands off, but Arius certainly would not mind them being hands on, that was how the muggles did it. Everything was very hands on in the industry there because there was no magic to do everything for you. Perhaps wizards could learn a thing or two from that.“Used?” Arius scoffed at the word and shook his head. “It is an honor and a privilege to get to fashion for you.” He flashed her a cocky grin, sure that she had received the same answer from others many times over. Models tended to be nice to the designers that hired them. No designer, no modeling, no modeling, no job. That was the way the cookie crumbled. While the models could pick and choose designers and competing offers were surely to be had, one never wanted to be blacklisted. He moved off the stool when she said so and began to dress again, making quick work of it before going and leaning on her desk. “So, what exactly is in store for the fall fashion show, love? Can I get a sneak preview, or is that against the rules?” His smile stayed plastered on his face as he spoke to her, wanting to keep himself as near as possible. He always enjoyed doing that, even if it meant leaving her desk entirely disheveled. Skip to next post
