June was a fun month, for most teenage children anyway. The hint of summer was thrilling and rejuvenating for most young witches and wizards, so you would expect the same from fun-loving Charlie Robards. However, that wasn't exactly the case with the Hufflepuff boy. Not only were exams in full swing, but with the anxiety that came with such tests a much nastier feeling boiled beneath the surface, waiting to erupt.

The end of exams meant the end of another year at Hogwarts. Another summer kept far away from his friends. Though magic would be at his fingertips, most people his age had plans for their last summer at the fine institute of magical learning. Charlie didn't have such plans. He was bound to another boring summer at home, keeping in shape for Quidditch and studying to keep up his high marks in class.

So, there Charlie sat, pondering over all the possibilities. His eyes were gazing deeply into the cackling fire that seemed to always burn in the Hogwarts cellars, even on the hottest of summer days. The cushiony golden chair was comfortable, he sat, cross-legged book in hand. Not that the book really did him any good, he wasn't paying it the least bit of attention. It wasn't easy to with all the melancholy things going on in his pretty little head.

He was wearing his favorite muggle t-shirt. It had a yellow background with the logo of one of his favorite bands: “The Muggle Within” on it. He wasn’t exactly all dolled up like he usually was, but neither were any of the elder students these days. No one really had time to get up an hour earlier in the mornings. Late nights weren’t spent partying anymore, they were spent trying to cram in another fact about the goblin wars, or writing out another indecipherable rune. Life at Hogwarts had changed for most, and it wasn’t a turn for the good.
