Akira nodded along as she listened and then smiled. "What, I'm not terrified of a teacher so I must be second year? I'm scared of lots of things. I can prove it. I'm scared of...." She looked down as if unable to think of anything that scared her. "My marshmallows disappearing!" She snapped up and gave a wry smile. "Who was Snark and who was Reid? And I was reading up on hogwarts history, isn't it usually the defense against the dark arts teacher that leaves frequently not other positions?" She looked then attempted to make some sort of cat face shape with her hands. "I liked McGonagall. Cats. Are very cool."  After she said that she was reminded of her transfiguration attempt and looked down.

"Direwolves are also cool. Dogs are cuddly and fluffy, wolves are just dogs that aren't dogs yet. I will tell you, Ghost is a very pretty direwolf. Never underestimate Direwolves as they will always help a Stark." She nodded and smiled happily with the thought of cuddling a giant fluffy dog in her head. "Also I thought Dementors were hostile creatures? They like went feral after the war or something? How did he get students near them? Or find them?" She asked and seemed to shudder at the thought of them.

"Was he bad at subjects then? Ambrose?  No wonder he wasn't a Ravenclaw then." She raised up a hand in an attempt to get a high five from Tim. "Ravenclaw is best house. maybe we need Ravenclaw head. I feel that would be great, we can get everything turned blue and we will win the house cup for sure with a little bit of bias." She nodded at her thought confidentially. "And if Iggy  became headmaster and what you say is true, I feel like he may arm Peeves in an attempt to have them make sure no one is loitering in the corridors or out and about even if they don't have lessons."

“Snark was Headmistress when we arrived,” Eta explained, “She vanished without a trace!” Despite the Hufflepuff’s disdain of the sharp witch, the whole disappearing act and omen around it was incredibly intriguing for the divination-obsessed. “Not just your marshmallows disappearing but a whole person!”

“And then Reid took over[1] for a bit,” Tim explained, hastily taking them away from the disappearing subject, “but McGonagall was back pretty soon.”

Akira was full of questions, as per any Ravenclaw. Tim automatically reciprocated the high five, as well, Ambrose wasn’t around to be party to the burn and Eta was just giggling.

“If you’re going to be Ravenclaws, I’m going to find Zeta,” Tim’s cousin proclaimed and threw open the compartment door, off in search of her Hufflepuff big sister, muttering ‘Iggy’ distastefully and making strange signs with her hands that she’d read about in the Quibbler.

“Alright, see you later,” Tim shrugged and waved her off, as this was perfectly ordinary for her. “I feel I’m going to be here until Hogwarts answering Akira’s questions anyhow…” He gave his younger housemate a smile and settled himself with a view of the window.
