[June 3] Our Eyes Will Meet And It Will Be Awkward [Ainsley, PM] on July 17, 2009, 08:16:55 PM 7:30 AMPractice was dreadful today. Sebastian stalked into the locker room and slammed the door shut with an angry bang. He aimed a kick at the wall and plopped down on the bench. So what if he had taken a minute longer than usual to catch the snitch, it wasn’t his fault; visibility was crap and the rain fogged up his goggles. Needless to say though, the captain was less than impressed by her Seeker’s performance. Sebastian stared into the full-length mirror across the room and scrunched up his face. He saw his own goofy expression and laughed. The lousy practice already forgotten, he ran a hand through his ruffled hair and winked at his reflection.Well, at least he still had his chiselled good looks. In Sebastian’s world, there was a silver lining in every cloud. For everything that brought him down there was always something to cheer him up. He wasn’t a narcissist, per se, not like that Slytherin Snark boy who would talk to himself in the mirror. It was just that, as a seventeen-year-old male Gryffindor with a healthy ego, Sebastian was obliged to compliment himself once in a while, just for the heck of it. When the Slytherins indulged in self-admiration, it was called narcissism. For the Gryffindors, the same act would only be dubbed self-confidence. After all, it was common knowledge that a Gryffindor would never stoop so low as to rival a Slytherin’s vanity. Smiling rather foolishly at the revelation, Sebastian shrugged off his Quidditch gear and went into the showers. The water was blissfully hot and rinsed away his sweat and frustration. He wasn’t too worried about the upcoming game and reminded himself to do better next time. He had invested the past five summers undergoing training in Scotland, he was the best they’ve got (or so he told himself). After towelling himself dry, Sebastian changed into a pair of black boxer shorts and went back to the locker room. He picked up his Quidditch gear and sniffed them. The funky smell was enough to make him dump everything into his duffle bag without a further second sniff. It was still early in the morning and Sebastian did not feel like returning to the castle. He sat down on the bench and stretched lazily. Nina, her best of friends, allowed her to sit in and watch, and occasionally, Ainsley would substitute a beater position so Nina could show her younger players how the game was properly played. Needless to say, it was a rainy day, foggy and muddy. And Ainsley got a tad bit dirty even just watching the game.A few minutes after the Gryffindors dispersed, Ainsley said her goodbyes to Nina and went to the locker rooms. She wasn't a big fan of the showers in her dormitory, for the girls didn't much like her, so she liked the comfort of the locker rooms. It was more peaceful.Upon walking in, she saw a discarded Gryffindor uniform, a male's. She eyed it carefully, and then trudged her clothes off and went to the separate women's showers. The heat of the water felt nice and comfortable, and she loved taking showers. It was a good feeling, one she enjoyed too often, as she wasted the water away. She finished and wrapped a towel around her body, slicking her hair back behind her.She walked back into the locker area, and almost jumped. Laying on a bench, boxer shorts only, was Sebastian Pascal, the Gryffindor who's uniform was laying on the floor. "Oh my!" She said, and tried covering up, though the towel covered the necessary parts of her body. She felt slightly embarrassed, though she was known to have been with many boys. Still, though, she only snogged them and had never once been compromised without clothing. Clad in only a flimsy towel, she could very well be Voldemort’s reincarnate and he still wouldn’t have cared. There were a few things in Sebastian’s life that took precedence over all others: Quidditch, fast cars, good laughs, and pretty girls. As of right now, Ainsley just got her own category. So there she was, in all her semi-naked glory and Sebastian savoured every moment of it. With all due respect, he really should’ve averted his gaze, but then again, Sebastian never claimed to be a gentleman. He wasn’t aware that the Hufflepuffs had practice today and nor did he care. Sebastian eyed the Hufflepuff blonde, Ainsley seemed equally surprised to see him as he was to see her. She had the decency to look mildly embarrassed and made an attempt to cover up. He supposed he should get dressed too, but decided against the idea. If Lady Luck brought them together in such a state, who was he to snub her in her face. Despite the obvious awkwardness felt on the Hufflepuff’s part, Sebastian was certainly not embarrassed. It would take a lot more than a semi-naked Ainsley Gairden to get him flustered.A lesser guy would’ve drooled all over her, Sebastian flashed her a playful wink and smirked, “Funny, I was just thinking about you.” His words would probably ring true for a good chunk of Hogwarts’ male population. Ainsley had a reputation and she wasn’t afraid to flaunt it. Her past conquests included some of the school’s most reputable bachelors. Although he could not deny his interest in her, Sebastian had no intention of joining their numbers. He walked over to her and murmured mockingly into her ear, “Here to see me?” Skip to next post
