Physical Description:

Like all the Weasley's before her, Ginny has the signature red hair, though it has darkened over the years. It is no longer the flaming fire red it once was but rather a deeper red. Growing up she always kept her hair long but she just recently cut it into a bob style, short around her years, a style she is still not sure she likes. Ginny keeps her hair long and often has it in a pony tail, especially around the children.

Her eyes are brown but she has been playing around with these muggle things called colored contacts and currently has her eyes a blue hue. She rather enjoys it. Slim from years of quidditch, she does have a good amount of muscles in her arms and legs from both flying and carrying three children around all the time. She's still somewhat short, around 5'5, and weighs around 125 pounds. Ginny is certainly pale and despite her time in the sun, nothing seems to change.

Right after the birth of her last child, Ginny got a tattoo of her patronus on her shoulder, a horse. The horse is black with a black tail and black mane but the tail as three different colors woven within, each color representing on of her children. The mane has one colored strand within, representing her husband.

Despite already having three children and not quite 30, Ginny still tries to wear age appropriate clothes, though sometimes it's hard. Jeans are always the easiest and flowy t-shirts work well when she's with the children, but skirts and and professional looking pants with colorful tops are often worn when on the job. She has a little bit of fashion sense so she at least matches but she struggles with finding that happy medium of still being a sexy woman.

Personality Description:

Ginny is still the sassy, spunky, and fearless Weasley she was while at Hogwarts, only now a protectiveness has settled upon her as well. She learned how to be tough growing up around so many boys and this hasn't changed in adulthood. She has no problem being bossy when the time is right and this can annoy some folk, but when you are the youngest in your family and the only girl, often underestimated and deemed weak, you have to find your voice somehow. Still, she does try to see different points of views before injecting her own advice or own feelings, though when Ginny feels strongly about something, it's pretty hard to change her mind.

Ginny is pretty easy to get along with as long as you do not mess with her children or family. She's passionate and can come across, but loyal to a fault to her friends. She will do anything for them, even if it comes across as reckless. She tries her hardest to be there for them and always has an open ear policy. Her family is an extension of her and after losing a brother, she holds them even closer in her pocket. Her mother constantly watches her children and she is so extremely close to Molly, even more now that she herself is a mother. She respects and takes her mother's advice in regards to her children, but not her love life. Of course Molly was happy when she married Harry Potter, as she loved the boy and absolutely accepted him into her family, but Ginny isn't quite as confident with sharing her current problems with her mother.

She's extremely loving with both her children and animals as well. It was always known she was an animal lover while at Hogwarts and was especially fond of cats and pygmy puffs and this has not changed. She wants to teach her children to love animals and treat them with the respect they deserve. She's got a big heart, that Ginny.

She has a sharp mind and has always been a powerful, yet underestimated witch. Her curiosity and snarky personality does her well when it comes to sports interviews and she can hang with the best of them because of it.

Ginny has always been confident but for once in her life her confidence in herself has lowered. Don't get it wrong, she knows she's an excellent mother and wonderful at her job, but isn't as confident in herself as before considering the state of her marriage. She always thought she knew what she wanted in life and would be able to obtain it but things are changing and she isn't as sure as before. It scares her to not be in control of her own emotions.

History:

Born the 7th child and only girl of the Molly and Arthur Weasley, Ginny was a spitfire and kept up with her brothers, wanting to do anything and everything they did. She would often sneak their brooms just to fly since she was not allowed. It did not matter that she was a girl and they were boys in her eyes. Despite the scraps the group got into, she loved her brothers.

When Ginny met Harry at the tender age of 10, she fell in instant love! She would have to wait an entire year to see her crush, but once she finally was able to go to Hogwarts, her first year turned out to be a disaster!

Sorted into Gryffindor like the rest of the Weasley family, the fire headed girl took comfort in a diary she found among her things. Pouring her soul into the words, the thing wrote back to her, giving her even more comfort. Little did she know an book would try to kill her. Tom Riddle's diary led her to open the Chamber of Secrets, several times, and caused quite mayhem because of it. She made her way to the Chamber for a final time, her last breath seeming to leave her as Tom became whole, but it seemed her crush would save the day. She woke to tell her tell, Harry Potter seeming to like her enough to save her, though he was noble enough to save anyone, but Ginny did not care. She had been saved by Harry Potter! No one blamed her for what happened but Ginny never forgot that terrible year.

The rest of her Hogwarts years were not as traumatic as her first. She excelled in quidditch, charms and defensive magic, and even had a few boyfriends over the years, much to Ron's dismay. Her heart always yearned for Harry though, that not changing. She made true friends, would come lose  loved in battles unspeakable, and even ended up kissing that childhood crush of hers. She experienced fierce jealousy when it came to Cho Chang, but it didn't matter considering how things would eventually end up. She and her friends formed Dumbledore's Army and she proved to be a powerful witch with her bat bogey hex, reductor curse, and other defensive magic. At fourteen she was able to conjure her patronus of a horse. How fitting for a girl with the loyalty of a horse but the fire of one as well.

Her heart was broken in the battle during her sixth year, her brother Fred perishing. It was as if someone dug a part of her heart right out of her chest and she could only imagine how her family felt as well.  That last battle at Hogwarts would also almost kill her with Bellatrix sending the killing curse towards her to end it all. Lucky a mother's love never dies because while the curse missed Ginny, barely, she took the fight up and killed the witch. Why would her heart be flopped and flipped this whole night? When she thought Harry had died, she felt it as well. The fight went on, despite it all, and Voldemort was defeated and Harry was alive. They had to pick up the pieces of that awful day but they were able to slowly do so and life went on.

After graduating Hogwarts, from 1999-2003 she went to play professional quidditch for the Holyhead Harpies. Those were exciting years as finally her and Harry became one and married. True love everyone called it and at first it really was. In 2004 their first bundle of joy was born, following another in 2006 and the last in 2008. Given the names of souls lost and souls loved, Ginny and Harry had three children. James Sirius, Albus Severus, and Lily Luna.

When Ginny found out she was first pregnant, she knew she could not risk the baby playing quidditch any longer. She loved the game but knew her family had to come first and retired from the team. At this point she started working at the Daily Prophet as a Quidditch reporter. This allowed her to still travel and be involved in the game she so loved, while keeping her family safe.

Now Ginny has three young children, 3, 5, and 7 and is the Senior Quidditch reporter at the Prophet. She is still married to Harry but things are not as picturesque as they once were. She is no longer happy in her marriage. She doesn't know whether she wants to try and work things out for the sake of her children. Can they still be friends and be separate? She knows that these past years, for her at least, have not been the love and happiness they once were when they first got married. She always thought they would be together forever because she always thought Harry was her true love and maybe he was. Maybe he still is. Or maybe he no longer is and Ginny has to deal with this blow.

Describe your job duties and how you go about them:

As a mother she has the duty of keeping three little souls alive. As a senior quidditch correspondent she is responsible for not only travelling and interviewing quidditch teams appropriately, she has to manage other reporters and make sure everything runs smoothly for this section of the Prophet. Her leadership skills have flourished with this job and she believes her role as a mother has helped as well since using skills to help manage three small children can sometimes be the same as working with a team.

Elaborate on your expertise in your field:

Ginny played Quidditch while in Hogwarts and learned the game extensively. Even when she played professionally she did this as well and it wasn't just her team she learned about. Taking this real life experience to paper, she realized she could still love and enjoy the game, while getting other's take on what is going on in the world of sports. Her confident and curiosity allows her to actually interview players, learn about their strengths and weaknesses, and report the greatness that is the game.

Writing Sample:

Ginny stood at the window in her living room, seemingly staring at nothing as she fingered her now shorter hair. She still was not positive she liked the style but it did make her look more mature. Her mother had given her slight grief over chopping off her beautiful lion's locks but eventually reassured her that it looked fine and framed her face beautifully. Only a mother could make you feel insecure and loved at the same time.

With a soft sigh Ginny brought herself out of her own mind and turned to take care of the actual chores she wanted to get done. All three children were down for a nap, even James who insisted 7 year old did not need to take naps and they were for babies only. Ginny had cleverly told him that even young men such as he needed to rest since he had such great responsibilities to take care of during the day and grudgingly the boy had gone to sleep. Three sleeping children was a rare occurrence in her house and she knew she needed to get actual things done, but she could not help but go back to the thought that had been plaguing her for weeks.

How does one fall out of love with the person they are supposed to be with forever?

Ginny tried to wash the dishes but when she saw she had washed the same one three times, she set it all aside and crumpled in the dining room chair, tears threatening to spill. How could they truly be going through this? She had been married to Harry for many years and never in a million years thought she would want out, but the last few years had been nothing but torture for her. There was certainly no physical abuse or even emotional and she had put on the mask of a happy wife for a while now, but it was killing her inside. Harry did not deserve this. He did not deserve a wife that questioned there marriage. And of course there was the thoughts of how he truly felt about it all that constantly ran though her mind as well. Was he actually happy or was he playing house just as she was?

Ginny stifled a sob as she heard the sweet voice of a little girl behind her, already up from her short nap. Or had Ginny just been sitting there for a long time and not even realize it?  "Cookie mummy," Lily said with a yawn, though a smile was on her cute face. "Of course my little munchkin." Ginny quickly wiped her eyes, not wanting her daughter to see her crying. Even at three, Lily would want to comfort her mother and Ginny did not, absolutely would not, bring her children into her problems. She had to go on like nothing was wrong, but she knew it would all eventually come to a head.

She only hoped that when it did, she could pick up the pieces like she had so many times before.

Sum up your character in one paragraph:

Ginny is a passionate and loyal mother of three who works for the Daily Prophet. She is a woman barely 30 but has seemed to live an entire lifetime already. Loving her job and cherishing her children, Ginny is having serious marital problems that she does not know can be resolved. Regardless, she has her family by her side and hopes everything will eventually work itself out.
