Physical Description:

At 6' even, Domnall's height and build are nothing too eye-catching. He makes up for this with his long, stringy black hair, copious amounts of eyeliner, chains, and all the black leather he can find, which contrasts sharply with his pale skin and blue eyes. He has an intimidating image (not entirely unwarranted), but it's paired with a charming smile, when he chooses to show it.

He wears muggle-style clothing more often than not, simply because it's easier, in his opinion, and adds to his image of something of a rebel. He usually opts for a black tank top or band tee-shirt under a leather jacket and ripped jeans, but when he gets dressed up it's a sight to see. Top hats, button shirts, brocade jackets, and cravats are among his favorites, but he has also been known to wear robes of leather and, once, something velvety (he claims it was in mockery, but who really knows?).

Personality Description:

Domnall is, in passing interaction, a fairly easy-going, laid-back guy. He has a friendly demeanor, and as long as the subject of conversation isn't related to politics, the wars, or metal music he's happy to nod along with whatever the other party is saying. With his close friends, he is very physical, expressing himself by talking with his hands, clapping people on the shoulder, and hugging whenever he can.

When it comes to talking about things he feels strongly about, Domnall acts in a very specific pattern - he goes quiet, then tries to change the subject. If after that the subject remains the same, he'll say his piece. He does this because he knows his opinions are unpopular among most of the wizarding world these days, and he'd rather not lose clients over it. He speaks more easily with his friends, especially Cináed and the patrons of the Black Chimaera.

The specific unpopular opinions he holds revolve around the Second Wizarding War, the treatment of muggles and muggleborns, and the role of the Ministry of Magic. Domnall was raised with traditionalist views on blood purity, and believes that muggleborns and muggles aren't worth the space they take up. He was too young to fight in the war, but he would've fought for the Death Eaters if he could. He's anti-establishment insofar as the establishment isn't doing what he wants - his ideal world involves the phrase "Magic is Might," holds muggleborns as second-class citizens, and has no real room for muggles at all - and he looks down on the last generation of purebloods for having failed when they were so close to achieving what he saw as the goal.

History:

Domnall ó Mordha was born less than a year after Lord Voldemort's first defeat, to Aodhan and Irene ó Mordha (née Wentworth). The ó Mordhas didn't openly support Voldemort during the war, but did hold with the values of the Death Eaters. They taught their son a warped version of history - that wizardkind, and purebloods especially, were being oppressed and made to feel ashamed of their magic and their heritage. They told him that the Dark Lord was trying to create a world where people like their family didn't have to hide from muggles, could be proud of who they were. He learned very young to never be anyone but himself, never back down on his convictions, and never be ashamed of who he was.

When Domnall was eleven, he left Ireland for Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where he was sorted into Slytherin. He brought his family's values with him, which frequently led to fights with his schoolmates when he refused to acquiesce or censor himself. After many detentions and stern talking-tos, he began to change somewhat; from the outside it might have looked like it was his opinions that were changing, but in fact he was learning to pick his battles. He stayed firm in his beliefs, but eventually realized he didn't have to spout them at every turn.

In his third year, this skill would prove crucial: it was at this point that rumors of Lord Voldemort's return began to circulate, and fear and anger seemed to spread throughout the castle. He looked to his elders for guidance on how to act - in particular, a boy in the year above him named Cináed Tawse. Cináed was confident, and charismatic, and seemed to Domnall to have it all together and know how to act. The two became good friends, and Domnall stuck close to the older boy until the fateful night in his fifth year when all Hell broke loose. The Dark Lord was at Hogwarts, Potter was back, and in the confusion and hubbub Cináed slipped away from the other Slytherins to join in the battle. Later, Domnall would hear of his friend's arrest and sentencing to 76 months in Azkaban.

The rest of Domnall's time at Hogwarts is no more than a blur in his memory. He kept his nose down, did his work, took his exams. He lost himself in art, a new hobby, spending hours sketching designs both fantastical and macabre on any surface he could find. When he left Hogwarts he decided to pursue his art as a career, starting a three-year apprenticeship with a tattoo artist where he learned everything he needed to know to open his own tattoo parlor. With a chunk of his family's money, he bought an empty storefront in Knockturn Alley and Wicked Ink was born.

Over the next few years, Domnall heard the grumblings of his clients change from shameful to dissatisfied to indignant as the Wizarding Blood Alliance was born. Wicked Ink began to serve as a liaison of sorts between the various members, holding packages and letters from one member for another, gathering and passing along information when possible. This continued for about three years, until the opening of the Black Chimaera and the return of Cináed Tawse to the land of the living.

These days, Domnall has settled down somewhat into his role as owner and operator of Wicked Ink. He happily serves the population of Knockturn Alley, has adopted a blind mastiff named Seamus after Cináed's most recent getaway, and discreetly serves as a reliable set of extended ears for his friend, keeping him informed of the goings-on in Knockturn Alley while he's on the run from the Ministry.

Describe your job duties and how you go about them:

Domnall is the owner of Wicked Ink, a wizarding tattoo parlor in Knockturn Alley. He is also currently the sole artist working the shop. He designs tattoos, helps clients decide what they want and where, and does the actual tattooing (a somewhat more complicated process than the muggle way, as his tattoos actually move when he's done with them). He also takes care of the shop, cleaning what needs to be cleaned and fixing what needs to be fixed. The shop is small enough that he's managed to take care of it by himself thus far, but may consider hiring an assistant in the future.

After graduating from Hogwarts, Domnall did a three-year apprenticeship with a tattoo artist, learning to design tattoos, operate and sterilize machinery, translate designs from paper to skin, and help clients make their decisions. When he finished his apprenticeship, he opened Wicked Ink in Knockturn Alley, and lives in a flat above the parlor.
