Cara had donned a rather nice grey pea coat over her red-and-gold jumper and jeans to head down to Hogsmeade, for it was an overcast, chilly day, and she was a rather slight girl. Her dark, dark hair had been wound into one thick braid, slung over her shoulder and dangling just above her chest.
She stood on one side of High Street as students walked past her on the road, staring curiously into the semi-circle display window of Spintwitches. Perhaps she should head inside and purchase some Quidditch supplies? She was hoping to play for the Gryffindor house team next year, after all... but did she really need anything?
No.
No, she didn't. So with a resigned frown—the sort that you adopt when you'd like to waste money but know that you have no need to—Cara wandered further down the street, smiling and waving at passersby whom she recognized.
She paused in front of Tomes and Scrolls, peering in through the window at the various specialty books therein. Perhaps she could justify spending money on books, eh? She loved to read... not that she had the time to read anything that wasn't O.W.L.-related, these days.
Cara simply dithered in front of the store, lost in thought.
