The announcement was unexpected, and as yet, unexplained. "Naturally, the search for a new Headmaster or Headmistress will now begin, but we're feeling quite flat-footed. We've been pleased, very pleased - this is quite sudden," said Persepolis Zephyr, chair of the School Governors.Greyfriar has served as Headmaster since 2005, before that teaching History of Magic since 1998. Before coming to Hogwarts, Greyfriar published on topics such as the witch burnings, Grindelvald and Goblin Rebellions."The first thing we need to do is begin to research who's out there and who's qualified. In the past, we have turned first to the excellent professors at Hogwarts, but it is not out of the question to seek someone from outside of the school. Naturally, Professor Greyfriar's recommendations would be welcome. But lacking that, we're not above consulting diviners," explained Zephyr.Knox Greyfriar did not respond to our owls.
