[April 3] Bottoms Up, Doggy Style [Open] on November 16, 2016, 11:34:49 PM Emeline didn't usually work the night before the full moon, or the morning after. But she had just gotten off a horrendous shift at Alohomocha, and needed a drink. What better place to go than her second job? So Em She sat at the bar, sipping her gin and tonic and chatting with one of her favorite Dorsey.[1] When Dorsey had to step away for a bit, Em took the opportunity to turn in her seat, icy blue eyes taking in the surroundings-- and more importantly, the people. The regulars were here, like they always were. As well as newer faces. A blond man approached the bar. She always marveled at that when she saw it; usually hair darkened with age. She knew of very few grown men with actual blonde hair... It reminded her of corn. Or crisps. Now she wanted crisps. Crisp-boy was cute, young, but no longer a pup. Em stared. Sipped her drink. Stared some more. Right. She was being weird. Rick told her she needed to stop doing that-- being weird. It was probably a joke. "You don't usually come here." A statement, not an accusation. The werewolf offered him a toothy smile, crossing one long leg over the other. "Do you want a recommendation?" She knew the drinks here better than the back of her hand. 1. So, after a day of doing nothing, Shade walked into Death & Co. and ambled up to the bar. He had no idea what he was doing though. He did drink, but usually by himself, and just out of a can or bottle. So, names of things weren't really on his to-do list. Still, he leaned forward over the bar and attempted to at least look like he fit in a little. Oblivious to most of the other patrons, he did notice the girl sitting a few seats away. She was staring at him, while most people would find that irritating, or a little rude, he didn't mind at all. Heck, he grew up with a twin who did a lot worse to him, so a little staring had no effect on him.Shade turned his head at her first comment, "You don't usually come here." He smiled and answered her, "No, no I don't."At her question he raised an eyebrow, "Do I look that lost?" The last thing she wanted was to bother customers that didn't deserve it. Bothering customers that did deserve it, however, was wonderful. Emeline was thankful that Margo Amherst was a flexible boss. "You don't look lost." Okay, maybe he looked a little lost. Most people who came into bars knew exactly what kind of drinks they liked. Em took an indelicate gulp of her G&T before answering. "I work here, most nights. Your face isn't familiar." She glanced down at her drink before making eye contact with Shade. "I don't usually drink here." There were other places she preferred-- but she was not so sure she wanted that environment tonight. Werewolf tempers ran high this time of month. What drink should she recommend? "Try the Felix Felicis." She leaned forward, her expression almost too mischievous to be friendly, "Or the pygmy puff." "I haven't been in here before. Most of the time, I prefer to drink alone. Just trying something new for a change." He turned in his chair to face her, "I'm Shade." he said as he waited for the bartender to come around and he ordered the drink."I actually have walked by this place several times, never thought to come in." He clasped his hands together and watched her. He needed to get out more. This wasn't something he was good at doing, conversation with people. "Some chips, too." She got up out of her seat, cheeks only a little flushed from the liqour. At her full height, Emeline stood at over six feet tall, though she was shorter than her younger brother, Zel. She hadn't measured herself ever since she was fourteen years old, and she had grown since then. Willowy and lithe, her body type mirrored that of many full-grown Trumbles. Including the flat chest, to Em's dismay. She moved to the seat next to Shade, "I'm Emeline." The werewolf tucked her hair behind her ear. Dorsey brought over Shade's shot and another gin and tonic. She thanked the bartender, knowing very well that it'd take a little longer for the food to come out. "You look young." Not much younger than her, "Did you graduate recently?" She wondered if maybe, he knew her brother. If he did, maybe they could gossip about him! There were few things that Emeline loved more than good gossip. Skip to next post
