So, we have quite a few adequate potioneers in the seventh year class, how much fun would it be to do a switch day? One person (or a few) can brew up a huge batch of Polyjuice (this can have already happened, or we can thread some of it for funz) and then everyone just switches with someone else for the day. You go to their classes, you sit at their house table at meals, you try your best (and probably fail) to be a different person for the day. Personally, I think it would be fun to attend a class my character isn't taking and trying to pretend like I know what's going on AND pretending like they're someone else.

Also, it would be awesome if like... 2 or 3 people decided to be the same person, and mayhem happens. Or you forget to get house robes from the person you turn into so you're in the wrong uniform. Or you turn into Minerva because you think that with her being gone all the time you can get away with it.

There's not much time left before everyone graduates... we should go as crazy as we can.

If people are interested, we can come up with a solid date, and then make a list of who everyone is turning into.

So... fun?

Thought up as an additional way to earn points for the Seventh Year Bucket List Challenge, Senior Switch Day is an event where seventh year students ingest Polyjuice Potion and impersonate someone else for the day.

Helpful Information: Polyjuice Potion

Suppliers of the potion will be delivering flasks of Polyjuice the day before, Monday, May 9. Some things to think about (and ideas for threads):

• Finding Clothing for who you're impersonating. It might be a bit more difficult to get a set of Professor robes, but also more fun and dangerous.
• Remembering to take extra potion with you throughout the day. Unless you want to get caught, which would also be quite fun
• Going to another student's classes instead of your own. Or if you're impersonating a Professor - are you prepared to teach a class as them?
• If your swap is from another house, what do you do when you can't return to your common room?

The Participants:

Eli is planning on disguising himself as a professor (he's got his eyes on Professor Singh but we'll see what actually happens!).... So maybe he could be one of the people who releases the polyjuice potion? I can also see Gracie being a provider of polyjuice.

I can see Marco going for this plot though!

I offer up any of my Hogwarts-based characters and their hair for potions.

Indi is absolutely in.  She can get some of the ingredients sent in from her parents' garden.  They'd happily donate for purposes not specified.  She's not the best at brewing, but she'd totally want to join up and participate!

She used to be one of the more studious kids and Potions was one of her best subjects, so she could help make it!

This is awesome, I'm so glad other people are interested. Elysia is a pretty good potioneer herself, so if we want/need more brewers she's down to help. She's certainly going to turn into someone as well (maybe Shona? It would be easy-ish to get her hair... she is dating Elysia's sister). Minerva, Tempest, Elysia, and Elijah are all available for people to turn into as well.

We really just need to pin down a date for it, and people can start threadding whenever. I'll edit the original post with information when I am not on my phone.

Anyone got any ideas on a day? I'm thinking a weekday to cause mayhem in classes, but not too close to exams?

Elysia is totally welcome to impersonating Shona! Gracie will probably try her hand at Marco - though not after some practice, of course.

As for dates, maybe sometime in May? Late April looks pretty busy, unless everyone's okay with it taking place during Career Counseling Week, or it could be early May (4th through 12th) - which has seven weekdays in total.

I mean if anyone wants to impersonate Nicholas, feel free, but I am not responsible for the consequences (okay I mean technically I am but its Nicholas so).  He does well in potions but I dont think he'd be up for brewing polyjuice.  If someone told him about it, he'd probably be down for impersonating someone, but again, not responsible for his actions.

I'm up for having either of my boys being impersonated. I think only Xavier would be into trying out someone else for the day, I'm sure Eli could talk him into it. Peyton would likely feel a little uncomfortable being someone else. And given her Condition Cadance would certainly not be involved.

Eli can totally talk Xavier into it.

Virgil would enjoy impersonating or being impersonated. There seem to be enough suppliers so I'll leave him out of that. <3

How does May 10 sound to everyone? It's a Tuesday, and I figure we can always stretch it to a couple of days if we need to - maybe there's an important exam or something so you can't do it on Tuesday and want to do it on Wednesday or Thursday... just to help fit into other people's schedules? Also, if a couple of younger years wanted to snatch some of the elder student's potion, I'm sure they could get away with it.

I'm good with May 10th. Just another harmless Tuesday.

I've edited the original post in this thread to make everything look more official and such. I know we might still be a bit away from May, but that doesn't mean we can't have a bit of IC fun in the meantime. Potion suppliers - would anyone like to get together with a brewing thread? People who aren't necessarily potioneers, would anyone like to go catch lacewing flies or steal ingredients?

The possibilities are endless! If anyone wants to write with Elysia just let me know - otherwise, just tag your posts with 'Senior Switch Day' when relevant!

Also, if you know who your character is planning on impersonating, let me know so I can update the list. Let me know also if you'd like to get involved with this fun plot!
