He was relieved to find that the name seemed to mean something to both the Gamps. Diagon was not out of anyone's way - a good but conspicuous place to hunt for food if wizarding blood is what you were looking for. Tristan himself would have preferred to hunt some place like Camden Town; the muggle who had accosted him at the start of this evening was just the sort you could drain without bringing too much attention to the fact.

But those days were mostly behind him.

"If we contact Amherst we will repay the debt."

A dark eyebrow went up. He didn't need to look at Terrence to see that the other vampire's face was making a similar, half-playful expression. "I look forward to seein' how you'd go about doing that, exactly." Hooker's smile dissolved into a laugh. The group around them echoed this and even Tristan couldn't quite help a smirk.

Many eyed Andromeda speculatively. Or perhaps they eyed her neck. It was bold of the Auror to propose such a thing, especially to a company that took their debts rather seriously.

"You have been fantastique, Terry...." he approached his old friend, shedding formal mannerisms, and placed a kiss on either cheek. "Come and visit, non? Leave your throne at home." Terrence snorted, returning the kisses.

Tristan withdrew and made a motion with his hand - the doors to the room slid open. He nodded at Cepheus and Andromeda, urging them to leave first. They were slowly losing the attention of those other vampires in the room, who had an air of disappointment about them. Mes excuses, mesdames et messieurs. No blood spilled tonight.

Steady on, Andie, Cepheus thought to himself, but his sister was the Gryffindor loyal sort. Aurors took debts seriously. He looked to his sister while Tristan laid on the the compliments to their host. Taking the cue to leave, Cepheus offered one last respectful bow. He didn’t want to breathe as they headed for the door behind them.

Descending the stairs took half the time ascending had, and Cepheus was sure his feet were dragging him out there of their own accord. He didn’t say a word as they went, where it might have been tempting to chit-chat given the potentially positive result. There were still the same crowd downstairs when they reappeared in the bar, and Cepheus couldn’t help but glance about himself and fail to avert his eyes cleanly at the vampire ‘nuzzling’ the shoulder of a witch with revealing cleavage. He wrenched his gaze in time to make it past the ‘friendly’ doorman, nearly leaping through the doorway and into the street.

“Keep walking,” he uttered to his companions, urging them away from the coven, fumbling for a smoke.

Answers. Andie liked answers. There were new things to pursue. Cepheus was in a hurry. Andie did not run. She wanted to be brave. She blew a kiss to the doorman. Just for kicks. "Walking." Andie said. "No running. You look scared already brother." She looked at Tristan. "That worked? We need to find Amherst. If that is true."

They were quiet, leaving the Camden Town Hookers. Tristan could not blame either of his companions - no doubt they had much to consider after this meeting and perhaps it was best to keep talk of murder investigations away from the sensitive ears of his kind. Cepheus certainly didn't seem like he was going to take any chances. The night air was refreshingly crisp once they stepped outdoors.

"Keep walking," the wizard wasn't looking back. His sister put on a riskier face, true to level two's character.

"It did work, oui." Tristan agreed with Andromeda and slipped his hands into his pockets while they made their way back to the main road where they had met. "I'll leave you to find Amherst. If there is more to be said about his whereabouts I will find out," he shrugged before bumping shoulders with Cepheus. "A job well done for Beings Division."

Yes. It was a success, precarious as it had been. A cordial exchange of information between two groups whose tensions with one another were undeniably choppy. Tristan was pleased.
