[Feb 17th] Summer Internship at The Ministry, to Andromeda Gamp

To the office of the Minister- whoever may get this,

I hope all is well around the office.

I'm a current fifth year Slytherin, and my name is Sapphire Seulement. I prefer to go by Bella. You may know my father, François Seulement- he was a Ministry worker with Foreign Affairs and such. If you have heard of him, I'm sure you know he died during the Second Wizarding War in 1998.

I was looking to do an internship between the summer of my fifth and sixth year, as I am interested in a Ministry Career. Both of my grandparents on my dad's side were French aurors, and my Uncle Frédéric is a French MoM worker. I think the career of an auror is very interesting, and would love an internship. Even a basic internship would be very helpful so I can know my way around the Ministry  the ropes of how to about working at the ministry in general

I have assigned you to Auror Andromeda Gamp, who will be your mentor throughout the standard month long summer internship on level 2. Please be in touch with her after having filled in the appropriate paperwork and provided a recommendation from one of your professors.

If required, further correspondence should be delivered to my personal assistant, Maya Elliot. I am afraid not all persons of high office are able to entertain your letters in these busy times. Please behave accordingly.

A very thick parcel is sent from the Hogsmeade owl post, including lots of paperwork and a brief letter addressed to level 2 of the Ministry.

Andromeda Gamp,

S. Carstairs probably has told you, but you have been assigned as my mentor for a month this summer. I will include recommendation in a later letter, although I was wondering if a French ministry worker uncle of mine or an ex-auror for the French Minsitry could write you a recommendation. I'm sure it would much more convenient for me and my professors. The paperwork is in here as well.

Dear Bella,

Thank you for your paperwork. The Ministry requires a recommendation from a Hogwarts Professor. Your uncle is not impartial.

Your internship will be from Monday 20th June until Friday 15th July. You will start at 8am and finish at 4pm Monday to Friday. You will have 1 hour for lunch and some breaks. You will floo to the atrium. I will meet you by the fountain on your first day and show you where to go.

I am looking forward to meeting you in the summer. Make sure you study hard for all your exams. Especially Potions, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Transfiguration, Herbology, and Charms.
