Lenora had been working on her potions again- hoping to infuse them with her paints to make them magical and able to really soak up the enchantments she would need to place on them to get them to move and become alive. She had finally found a great book on how to make the potions- after searching for the better part of the school year- and was excited to try some of the recipes she had found. The book was well laid out- starting at the easiest potions and moving to the most difficult. Whoever had written it was a saint. And that she had stumbled across it at a used book store was like divine intervention.

Doing potions alone, though, was boring. And Lenora had a habit of getting distracted or losing track of time- so she knew that she needed someone else there with her so that she wouldn't make silly mistakes and muck things up. It didn't take her long to decide to ask Zinnia if she wanted to help. The fellow seventh year was great at potions and Lenora liked her well enough. She was a prefect, so at the very least Lenora knew that if things went awry she would know exactly how to handle it.

Lenora had owled for the potion ingredients for the first three potions listed in the book. Today she was starting with potion number one. It was just a basic additive to paints that would allow them to be enchanted short term- but only simple enchantments, like making water run or making figures smile and blink. But she was excited to finally have somewhere to start. Nora had asked Zinnia to meet her an empty classroom on the fourth floor after lunch. It was a Saturday so they had the free time- even if Lenora really should be studying or doing homework instead of experimenting. But this was important to her. Few things in Lenora's life were more important to her than her art.

She set up her cauldron and sorted out the ingredients she would need from the basket she'd received a few days prior by owl. When the door to the classroom opened, Lenora gave the Slytherin girl a bright smile. "I am so excited that you are willing to help me! I can't thank you enough, really. This book is so great and so detailed I'm sure we'll get it right on the first try. I just need a second pair of eyes to make sure everything turns out right."

Lenora grabbed a canvas bag from the floor and opened it up. "I did bring some snacks and drinks for us. And I've got a portable wireless if you want to listen to some music while we work. I have some sweets and pastries and a few sandwiches. I don't think it will take us too long- but I'm hoping to test it out after we finish up the potion on a small painting to see if it works. I was thinking as a thank you maybe I'd paint something for you to have? If you'd want me to that is."
