Pushing a stroller in front of her, Pandora cooed at her little pups fussing in the two-seater. It was the first time she’d brought her twins out in public, werewolf prejudice was still very much a worrying factor and Dora simply hadn’t been willing to put her children in danger. Her babies were her entire life and nothing and no one would take that from her.
The Hogwarts bake sale was in full swing, and a broad smile was permanently stuck on the witch’s face. It was inspiring to see so many youngsters taking up the art of baking. There was a quiet, sacred formula when baking – it always seemed to help Dora put her mind at ease, hopefully some of these children had learned to have a passion for cooking like she did. “Alright Cupcake and Muffin, I think that’s enough excitement for right now, who’s ready for a nap?”
Dora lifted her free hand into the air, waving over the nanny standing fretfully in the doorway of Puddifoot’s. Dora wasn’t sure how she felt about having a nanny, but someone had to keep the coffee house open, and no one else was going to put food on her table or clothing on her children’s backs. The elderly witch scurried over, just as anxious as Dora. “I think they’re a little tired,” She said, passing the stroller over and taking a deep breath before bending over the stroller and planting a kiss on both their heads before the stroller was wheeled away.
Standing up straight, Dora waited until the doors to Puddifoot’s closed behind her family before turning back toward the delicious confections assaulting her senses. She strolled casually toward a booth towering high with every sort of cupcake imaginable, “How much for one of those heavenly red velvets?” She asked, pulling her money purse from within her robes. Heavy bags lidded her eyes, the full moon was that night – and while Dora was prepared, it always drained her before and after a transformation. Especially when added to her new mother responsibilities.
She wouldn’t be able to stay for long, but at least she had time to help support a great cause.
