Finally a free Saturday! The wee
Ginger Queen was absolutely ecstatic. One might have expected her to take the opportunity to have a bit of a lie-in and not bother with hair and make up. One could be wrong, but they might have expected it. Instead she found herself up bright and early, headed to the shops to pick up essentials for afternoon tea with Aisling before coming back to tidy up just a touch. The flat wasn't bad but with her workload lately she hadn't had a chance to be much of a domestic goddess - not that her cousin would care either way of course.
Still, it was nice to brighten things up with fresh flowers and a bit of dusting before she put the kettle on. They hadn't had a proper sit down in ages. The last she had heard there had been some sort of mini-reunion with Arrow and the very notion made Nona's skin crawl. He'd been awful in school and she was sure he was just as awful now. What Aisling had ever seen in him was baffling and Nona was known for her pretty non-judgmental stance on obviously terrible life choices. Well, she wasn't exactly judging anyway she was just fiending for the gossip really.
She was just fussing over how to arrange the tiny tarts she'd picked up at the corner bakery when she heard the knock at the door. Clapping her hands, the heels of her shoes sounded against the wood floors as she happily skipped to answer. Family time was very important, and she hadn't had anyone to gush about Knox being the most adorable pregnant lady ever with since the New Year. It felt like ages and ages!
Of course when she opened the door Aisling's smirking face was looming above her and all Nona could do was huff softly. Even in her tallest heels her cousin still had inches and inches on her. It was supremely unfair that she'd taken after the midget Canterbury side rather than the long lean willowy Spectres. "Holding her hands out to the other woman she stood on her tip toes to kiss either of her cheeks, "like loving on a bloody Giraffe, Ais. Gods bless you. Get in here and tell me absolutely everything. I haven't seen a soul who wasn't tragic in weeks."
