[Mar. 1st]Errands, or something else[Open] on April 14, 2016, 04:09:52 AM A Tuesday, he kept telling himself as he got dressed that morning, it's just a normal Tuesday. He kept the thought running as he made his way downstairs to have breakfast with his wife, son, and apparently his mother had decided to come over. 'It's just Tuesday', he thought as he absentmindedly ruffled his little boy's hair and kissed his forehead before walking out the front door. Most of the time he would of been perfectly content to stay home and brew potions, but he was in need of some supplies and didn't trust an owl to bring them to him unharmed. Draco always liked to pick out his own ingredients. So here he was, after apparating from the edge of the property, in Diagon Alley. For a moment he just stood there, it had been awhile since he had ventured anywhere remotely public and he intended to at least pretend to enjoy himself today.Walking down the street he looked in a few windows and finally decided to stop somewhere for a drink, mostly to bolster the courage that was keeping his insecurities at bay for the time being. Thinking for a moment, he headed towards that coffee place he'd heard about, hoping today's random excursion would be without drama of any kind. Barely managing not to jump as he turned to face the woman, he smiled tightly and noddwed to let her know he was listening. Yes, he knew the woman and remembered her from the brief occasions he was out to gather supplies like he was today. He nodded in acknowledgement and said, "Sellaphix, I do remember you, the shop down Knockturn, right?"Making small talk was never something that Draco Malfoy wasnvery good at, but he still tried.[1] 1. Zelda now had a few seconds to really see his face. His father's face had been in the papers for many years and the resememblence in Draco was everything one could expect between father and son. The trials (literal and metaphorical) of the Malfoys were well-known in her generation, and even though it had been more than a decade, Zelda could feel the weight on this young recluse. It was unsettling in a way, but there was nothing this young man had done to make her feel that way.
