Prewett Secret Revealed!
by Herman Hernandez
February 7, 2011

After years of rumors of a werewolf among the band Nola and the Knockturnals, it has been confirmed that former drummer Ignatius Prewett V was in fact said werewolf.  The Prophet has not been able to confirm when the Prewett heir was bitten, but investigation shows it was sometime before he joined the Knockturnals.

It came to light at the birthday party of Elder Prewett held over the weekend where in a drunken outburst Ignatius all but confirmed he was a werewolf when confronting Miss Primrose Woolfolk about her work with the Lycan Legislature.

“It was never a secret,” Thomas Prewett stated on behalf of the family on February 6, “Iggy, and the rest of the family agrees, it was no one’s business but his own and the select few people required to be told.  He has followed the law to the letter.”

When reached, Shona Donovan, Care of Magical Creatures Professor at Hogwarts took a broader picture in support of the young werewolf.  "It's unfortunate, coming out the way he did. But being a werewolf isn't like coming down with a case of dragon pox; it's forever. So long as the stigma is alive, the quarantine never ends. I can't speak for other people, but I think Mr. Prewett's frustration reflects what a lot of us are feeling. This is what we have to deal with every month—and if we want to be a good law-abiding citizen like anyone else, this is what we have to deal with for the rest of our lives."

This sentiment of course was not shared by parents of the teenagers who listened to Nola and the Knockturnals. One parent had this to say, “It was irresponsible for him not to be upfront about his condition.  I would never have let my daughter listen to that band, I’ve already cursed all their records.  They should be ashamed of themselves.”

Another had this to say about the family keeping it quiet, “Though I don’t blame the family for wanting to keep it silent.  I just can’t believe they haven’t disowned him.  They have young children, and even if he is family, they shouldn’t let a dangerous monster be around them.”

One of the elder Prewetts’ colleagues in the Wizengamot expressed concern over whether the young Prewett’s father or grandfather, who both sit on the Wizengamot, “could be impartial in matters involving werewolves.”  In fact, Ignatius Prewett III has spoken out against harsh treatment of werewolves for several years now, and has voted opposite of his peers on many occasions involving werewolves.

Another of their colleagues, Edwin Glass, sidestepped the issue altogether.  “Everyone is prone to a rash word when they have had a little too much to drink. This was one of those occasions.”
