WEREWOLF KIDNAPPER TAUNTS MINISTRY'S FINEST

Early yesterday morning, a package addressed to Solomon Carstairs was received at the Ministry of Magic.
[1]Eyewitnesses on Level 8 report the package as having been opened in the atrium itself, where a multitude of Ministry employees were subjected to a replay of Zel Trumble's kidnapping
[2] last Christmas, through the medium of an enchanted mirror.
This included the graphic dismemberment of a young muggle woman - transfigured to resemble a classmate - by Trumble, in his werewolf form.
The Head of the DMLE released a statement shortly after, informing that neither he nor the Ministry's maintenance staff had "had any reason to view the parcel as suspicious" and that all future correspondences would undergo a more careful inspection as a result of the morning's events.
No comment has been given on whether this taunt and blunder is connected to the more recent kidnapping of Hogwarts students over Valentine's weekend.
