So much was happening in the Wizarding World.
Lydie’s brother Jai had been injured in one of the many attacks, and she felt that she was entitled to ask as many questions as she pleased. After all, it was her
brother -- in addition to many of her classmates’ loved ones -- who had been in the Leaky Cauldron when it exploded and crumbled.
Since then a number of things had happened, but
no one was talking about it. After the past weekend’s kidnappings, Lydie once again felt entitled to know everything. Whatever the professors knew, she wanted to know. Lydie had friends that were suddenly gone, and she felt that their absence had been swept over. Like they wanted to get the ugly news over with as quickly as possible.
But Lydie felt that everyone
deserved to know. For their own protection, at least. Or to soothe their worries, or try to understand. Even though it was incomprehensible. Who would do such unspeakable things? And to people who were so obviously innocent.
Unsolved quandaries like these itched at Lydie. She had to get to the bottom of this, or at least get some more information. Getting some things straight, that had to help the gloom that was heavy in the air. People were missing, and everyone could feel it.
She decided to start her investigation in the Great Hall, where people were bound to go eventually. She sat down with the proper reporting accessories and started by scanning the room, looking for someone to get the scoop from.
