Sources on the Ministry’s second floor has reported that current Head Auror and resident player Ed Pratt will soon be demoted from his position. Whether this change has come about as a result of high criminal activity in recent months has not been disclosed.

Pratt and the DMLE Head have been known to clash over authority issues. Has Carstairs found the perfect scapegoat for the department's failing campaign in his unorthodox and unpredictable Head Auror?

With local landmarks in Diagon Alley out of commission and the recent kidnapping of a Hogwarts student in December, it is no surprise to readers that big changes are taking place on Level Two. Most noticeable of all is the fact that arrests have not been made in regard to the Leaky Cauldron explosions.

"The Department is trying its utmost best to bring these perpetrators to justice," Carstairs asserted when reached for comment. While little doubt has been thrown on this statement, perhaps the time has come to realise that the DMLE's best has proved ineffective.
