“You look haggard. Rest.” Ignan let out a huff over the comment. There wasn't a doubt that he didn't look his best - it had been a trying day, but Miranda always had a blunt way of saying it. She was about the only person who could ever get away with saying it to him, and she knew it. He gave a solitary nod and kissed her back gently.
"Soon."
He was a little sad that Miranda wouldn't stay, but given his distraction with matters at Hogwarts, it wouldn't be much of a conversation. Gerda looked a little confused at the summoning and then the departure.
"Definitely not." Ignan shook his head, "At the best of times, not due to the wards, but tonight for sure. The staff room floo is still open though." He rolled his shoulders, trying to rid them of a tension that wouldn't shift and lifted his hand briefly to touch the back of Miranda's waist. "I'll come back down with you, make sure you leave without further interrogation from our new gatekeepers."
