Mr. Gamp,
Many thanks for your warm words of support. I am encouraged by the rather positive reception my lecture received, and hope that I might be invited again to speak to our community’s youth and their mentors. I hope you will send formal thanks to the Hogwarts Deputy professor for opening his classroom to me.
I am both sorry and unsurprised to hear that some of the parents were not as receptive, and I hope I have not caused too much headache in your department. Though, surely, you are used to such fuss by now. I know the vampire community would thank you for wasting your time on such narrow-mindedness. Do feel free to forward Howlers my way, should that not break too many Ministry regulations. My assistants are quite used to such hazardous owl post and have a savvy system for its handling.
Even if our younger generations’ elders are not so accepting as their children, it is their children who will inherit their positions of power one day. Evolution can be grueling, but I have optimism, Mr. Gamp (having survived over a century of it so far).
I would be happy to schedule a visit to discuss my concerns with the current blood allocation. It will have to be after 5 in the evening. I’m sure you understand. That hurtle aside, I can rearrange obligations at the magazine quite easily for such an important cause. Please let me know when you are available for a dinner meeting.
