HOGWARTS STUDENTS KIDNAPPED

13th February 2011
Fourteen students from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry were kidnapped at Hogsmeade village
on Valentine's weekend.
A statement issued by the Department of Magical Law Enforcement has described this incident as a malicious kidnapping - following on the heels of a similar circumstance in December of last year
[1]. DMLE Head Solomon Carstairs has declined to comment on whether the crimes are connected but assures readers that the department is trying its utmost best to find the missing students.
"They left me!! They might be dead!" Eli Amherst, peer to the victims, was observed wailing dramatically after having witnessed the incident.
"I will never eat sweets from Honeydukes again."Honeydukes Sweetshop, however, claims to have been just as oblivious as observers when students consuming their themed sweet samples disappeared into thin air yesterday afternoon.
A shop employee responsible for proffering said samples has been apprehended for questioning but Level Two sources report that the witch was likely targeted by the dreaded
Imperius Curse.Parents and guardians of victims have been contacted by both the Hogwarts faculty and Ministry authorities.
When asked whether security at Hogwarts has been compromised, Deputy Headmaster Ignan Storm responded saying that
"...of course Hogwarts is safe, this incident happened outside of the boundary in the village." It is also to be noted that no student is permitted to leave school grounds until further notice.
The Daily Prophet has been told that Hogwarts' governors summoned an emergency meeting just last night. Those individuals with information on these kidnappings are encouraged to get in touch with the DMLE, who are willing to guarantee anonymity and protection.
