[Sasha] on October 24, 2015, 08:47:47 PM Snow filtered lightly through the branches of the trees as paw pads quietly crunched over what had fallen earlier. The curfew had been lifted barely thirty minutes before and Moira was taking advantage of most everyone still being asleep. Still, wanting to avoid the eyes of those who were awake she had slipped far enough into the woods where as not to be seen but not too far in that she couldn't quickly run out if some horrible, terrifying creature the teachers were always warning them about decided to make a snack out of her. Moira's fur kept her plenty warm and she felt as though she could travel all day like this.Movement off to the side caught her attention and focusing in she realized it was her canine friend Baldur. Briefly she wondered what he was doing in the forest alone, he never left Sasha's side really, but as he seemed to not be stressed she moved towards him in greeting. With a light whoof they were soon bounding off racing over branches and between the trees tossing friendly nips at each other. After running and racing for a while Moira slid to a stop and stood alert, listening for an unusual noise she had heard. When it came again Baldur bounded off in that direction and with a huff Moira ran after him, curious and feeling like she needed to keep an eye on the dog since Sasha wasn't around. What he led her to was... definitely unusual.Moira stopped again and stared at the strange... goat-ish creature. Hesitantly she sniffed the air and took a single step forward, dog momentarily forgotten. Skip to next post Re: [Jan 8th] You're A What? First, one had to learn how to transfigure into an animal...well, maybe there were two and a half learning curves. In some instances, the transforming wizard also had to learn to complete the transfiguration with all applicable inanimate objects still attached to their person. Second, the animagus witch or wizard had to learn how to negotiate the world in their new form. Animagus transformation gave him the physical blueprint for having impeccable balance but it didn't mean scrambling over near-vertical rock faces came naturally. When the opportunity presented itself, the Ravenclaw would find boulders or rock piles to practice scrambling and perching. The earlier part of the week had brought a nasty mixture of rain and snow, leaving a thin layer of ice underneath the fresh dusting of snow. The footing should have seemed incredibly precarious but his splayed toes had no problem gripping the ice. If he were being honest, scrambling across the rocks was proving to be kind of fun. He trotted over to the edge of the short rock face and, with a swish of his tail, hopped to the next. And came face to face with a wolf. The goat froze, staring at the wolf. And ... the accompanying dog. Baldur? What was his dog doing with a wolf? Somewhere in the back of his goat-brain, there was an urge to run. Sasha resisted the temptation, well aware that running was guaranteed to make the wolf chase, whether or not it was looking to hunt. At this close proximity (assuming the wolf was alone), he stood a better chance if he kept an eye on the animal. And either fought or returned to his human form and pulled his wand. He stomped the rock with a hoof and lowered his head. Skip to next post Re: [Jan 8th] You're A What? [Sasha] Reply #2 on October 24, 2015, 10:37:47 PM The strange goat-thing did not turn and run as a prey animal might, but instead stood it's ground and threatened to attack. Moira's natural response was to growl and bare her teeth, the fur on the back of her neck standing up. However she also took that one step back. Her pride wouldn't allow her to retreat though if things got ugly she wouldn't mind running. Her gaze slipped between Baldur and the goat-thing a few times, trying to figure why Baldur would like it unless it was another pet of some sort. The dog didn't seem to be concerned at any rate. Slowly her mouth returned to a more neutral expression, teeth no longer exposed, but she did continue to growl a warning. It would take some explaining to Madam Nagde how she ended up bloodied and broken boned so early on a Saturday morning. Skip to next post Re: [Jan 8th] You're A What? [Sasha] Reply #3 on October 24, 2015, 11:01:47 PM Human reason had it's benefits but it couldn't win over everything. Especially a prey animal's instinctive response to a growling predator. Sasha startled and leaped back, landing with all legs splayed and ready to run. He kept his head lowered, his horns held decidedly between himself and the other animal. He noticed the wolf take a step back and relax his lips before a swath of grey fur blocked the wolf from view. Baldur was sitting in front of him, calm as anything, his tail sweeping in lackadaisical arcs across the ground. With tongue lulling out of the side of his mouth, he glanced at Sasha then at the wolf and back at Sasha before hoping to his feet and plopping into a play bow. A play bow. Baldur was offering to play with both of them. There wasn't a living thing alive that Sasha trusted more then that German Shepherd. Sasha looked from the dog to the wolf and back before dropping his head and peering, questioningly, across the short expanse at the wolf. Pointedly, he snorted once. In his own dog way the German Shepherd was definitely saying 'Don't fight, let's play!' She was more than willing to pick up where they left off, but she still wasn't too sure about the goat-thing, and he wasn't too sure about her still either from the looks of it but he trusted the dog.Seeing him peer and snort at her questioningly had Moira loosen up some, her fur laying flat and her tail not so high and dominant. Her ears twitched slightly before she sniffed the air towards the goat-thing again. Lowering her head she moved her front paws forward until she was stretched out similarly to how Baldur had invited them to play. After a brief consideration of getting back up Moira opted to stay where she was for a few moments longer. Skip to next post
