Forgive brevity, as I have had a hell of a weekend of which events I'm afraid I cannot relate at present. I write now pertaining to the 28th of this month.

That is to say, I was hoping you might necessitate some great (but false) working task upon Johann Storm irregardless of it being his birthday. I will be along that morning to perform a kidnapping. You may expect him back the following Monday, in approximate condition, if I have not decided to keep him entirely for myself. Pardon the intrusion - I would not ask if it were not consequential.

But likewise quite honoured by being included in said plot.

This said, the 28th should be at your disposal provided he stays on the course, avoiding hospital visits if at all possible. As for this said 'approximate condition,' define the parameters. I'm all right with him in a cheery disposition, but avoid allowing him to be likened to a fool if at all possible. If you must make him be late, I expect him in the office at eight sharp Tuesday, February the 1st.

This all said, what time should I be prepared for said kidnapping?
After all, cousins deserve a little headway at times.

I cannot guarantee that either of us will be perfectly sensible but given that he will have the Monday to recover, you might expect a reasonably coherent linguist the following day.

It's always, always  wise to follow the instructions of a most reliable, wizened secretary. Good secretaries such as Mrs. L are quite hard to find. This duly stated, I shall strive to recall 10am on the 28th. As for causing ruckus, do keep it to where I won't have the Houndbadger of Level One breathing down my neck.

I know I really oughtn't call him that but it suits the man too perfectly; the Minister probably calls him that too, and if she doesn't, she probably ought to at some point.

You will have to be in touch with Nathaira for that, I'm afraid, for I have as much skill in organising such things as I do in convincing Mrs L of my wisdom. From what I understand Knox will be in town sometime in February for a visit to St.Mungo's - best to broach the subject then.
