Re: [Jan 2] Roll Over [M] Reply #15 on October 09, 2015, 06:59:11 PM The description of Mihai as moral had been a mild piss-take, in honesty. He didn't know Zamperia as thoroughly as Balfour but he gleaned enough from their interactions to date to make educated guesses. Obliviators were naturally tasked with sensitive situations where they had to know what they were obliviating for. Johann hadn't known for sure at the time he'd bumped into Mihai in Knockturn Alley. In March, the obliviator had been tasked by the Minister with tailing him briefly, as he had learned of the goblins threatening to recall all wizarding currency, and she couldn't immediately obliviate him until she was done with using his gobbledegook skills. (In retrospect she'd have been better off just getting Mihai to do it.)"How reassuring." Johann echoed them both, hand lifting from his mug to rub his temple as he thought about it. "Well, you don't need the practice, my love." He shot Balfour a smile that could induce an eyeroll in the most faithful of friends, only interrupted by one of the Fates leaping up. They all hated Johann, he was pretty sure, so although he knew their names and thought he could tell them apart, he often didn't give them the benefit and referred to them as a hellish entity. Whiskey was his sort of pet. He was sure to fuss the dog while alone, right in front of the cats just to show what they were missing out on for snubbing him. "You could always tell her you were out wooing ladies of the night…" Johann's eyes widened, realising Balfour was recalling something Johann had told him of meeting Mihai in Knockturn. "Slightly more respectable, perhaps.""Since when did we become less respectable than a Knockturn Alley wh- lady?" He demanded, looking between them both, somewhere between offended and alarmed - though laying it on. "I think Juni would be less alarmed to hear you were with us last night than your other way to sate your urges. You wouldn't have to give her a blow by blow account…" he grinned, "however educational." Lifting his mug to take the last swig of coffee, Johann shrugged, "Leave it at work, best lies are the simplest, but you know that, unsettlingly… that's your job." He looked from Balfour to Johann, and it clicked. He had forgotten he had used that as an excuse as to why he was in Knockturn. Persepolis had asked him to trail Joh-- it felt like ages ago. In reality it had been, what? Barely less than a year ago. The fact that the memory was dim worried him, though he said nothing of that. "You two are awful." Mihai's voice was tinged with amusement, his lips curled into something that wasn't a smile. He finished his coffee and rinsed it in the sink. It was time to go home and spend some time with his daughter before she left for Hogwarts. "Thank you for the... Advice." Mihai said, knowing very well that advice he had given in the past was... Not exactly good. "It is time for me to face her wrath." With a lazy wave, Mihai turned and made his way out of the flat, on his way home. Balfour trailed after Mihai to see him off at the door before returning to the kitchen and to his lover. He slipped his arms over Johann's shoulders from behind, kissing the top of his head affectionately. As has been discovered last night, three was most certainly not a crowd. Even so...It felt good to have the other wizard entirely to himself again. This had been a first for Johann, and while Balfour didn't have to prod deep to know that they'd both enjoyed the evening immensely, he was anxious to ensure all was well between them anyway. Whiskey had managed to inhale his food and padded over to partly occupy Lacheisis' spot on the floor, under the kitchen table. The cats dispersed in their own way and he wondered if he should open the Study door to let the jellyfish out - their guest did not appreciate gloating invertebrates, much less ones that floated against ceilings."How was that?" Balfour asked, leaning down to nuzzle the nape of Johann's neck and breathe in the sleepy fragrance of intimate fraternisation. "Good?" He raised a hand in farewell to Mihai, a small part of him wondering if the proper protocol was to kiss goodbye a visiting bed partner. Despite what had happened last night, he was still Mihai Zamperia, one of the Ministry's finest - if not finest obliviators, and one of Balfour's closest social friends with Dietrich Eisenberg. He called the three of them The Musketeers to Balfour, for the tales of their antics. Balfour saw his friend out, the cat slipping from his lap. Johann remained at the kitchen table, contemplating his mug before turning on the chair to regard Whiskey as he shook his coat on finishing breakfast. His ears strained slightly for the mutterings of lover to friend at the door, recognising the familiar click of the lock and Balfour's returning footsteps. A gentle, contented smile spread across his lips as Balfour's arms wrapped around him from behind. His hands lifted from the sparkly coffee mug to forearms across his chest, stroking affectionately across skin. "Good?""Good."Johann's response echoed the tone, but as an answer than the rising intonation of the question. He recognised the query as Balfour seeking reassurance that Johann was really fine with what had taken place. He twisted a little in the chair to look up at Balfour, as if to prove with his expression as well as his words that the single word response was genuine. "Different." He added, eyes looking to his right, thinking on matters, "Overwhelming at points, but nothing ventured nothing gained." He admitted, gaze lowering for a moment, hands clasping Balfour's wrists gently. "Still only one wizard for me though." He smiled, meeting Balfour's bright eyes, "Couldn't drag my attention from you the whole time." Pale cheeks blushed, considering his physical interactions with Mihai, it might paint him as inattentive to their guest the night before. "You? I know you and he have… but… not since we.. obviously." The blush only deepened. However great Johann's grasp of languages, he could occasionally become tongue-tied when it came to other people in intimate situations. He hummed in agreement - always one to pursue new exploits, he was of late quite stuck on the idea of this singular romance. It infected him like an impetuous disease. No sign of slowing down. No sign of wanting to. At the corresponding question, Balfour slid his arms away and kissed the back of his partner's head, affecting a sort of nonchalance that he generally felt whenever past escapades were brought up. He was hardly self-conscious of them - or of his experience in these matters - but did not attach much importance to their merit. The wizard possessed, with Johann, what he never had with anyone else before. Not that he had yet to say so out loud."It was fun. Mihai is relaxed about these things," he shrugged. The Obliviator was good about casual flings, open to playfulness and experimentation. Out for a good time and little else. "I enjoy... watching you enjoy yourself. But you know that."
