Lawrence's laughter was infectious. Edwin clapped his hands together in amusement at Willy. He did say some strange things, but he was rather growing on Edwin. He was rather looking forward to how he and Lawrence got on, and how long it was until the ex-auror decided to do away with him out of desperation. His patronus would hopefully remain a reason to invest time and effort into keeping his help.
“Have I missed something?” Mortimer asked, looking to Edwin in hope. His fellow Department Head looked very confused, and that was a rare sight. Edwin decided to enjoy it a moment and continued to chuckle. Willy joined in, as if sensing this was the correct social thing to do, though Edwin was sure he didn't know what he or Lawrence were laughing at him.
“A hoover, Mortimer. A vacuum cleaner. Muggles use them, they're electrical machines that suck up dirt out of carpets mostly. Willy proposes your Department creates one for dementors. I suppose it's the opposite of blasting hot air at them,” he glanced to the other two, “which we tried, but it causes a localised warm front and on meeting the cold, created clouds and rain. We just all got wet and the dementors dispersed for a short while.”
