[November 30] Movin' on... (Open!)

Grace Eddy still had plenty of moving to do, despite having so neatly prepared for her departing of the Radford House, the comforting home she had made with the other Aurors-in-Training upon their graduation from Hogwart's well over a year ago. The last round of items she could easily move by the end of the day. But it was noontime now and she was  feeling the need for something to replenish her energy and efforts.

She would hardly consider herself a regular at Alohomocha, but she had spent enough time in the little cafe to appreciate the atmosphere and flair. And perhaps her new location would inspire her to visit more often. She ordered a Jack O'Latte Seasonal and a sandwich then sought out an empty seat, which was quickly becoming scarce in the busy little establishment. But she found one and settled in at her table while she waited for her order to be finished.

Her mind briefly drifted to how she and her friends had grown apart more recently with all the changes in their lives and how she in particular was so different from who she was when they had all moved in together. It wasn't a bad thing by any means, it was just different. They were all moving in new directions, even if they were still going to be working side-by-side every day.

She was nudged out of her thoughts when her order was called and she stood and leaving her bag and coat at the table to hold her place, she began to weave her way back to the counter. She nearly collided with another patron turning and she sucked in her breath as she moved to avoid a possible spill of food and drink. "That was close," she murmured, as she flashed a sheepish smile and inched further out of the way. She glanced back from where she had come and suggested, "Here, maybe you can squeeze through there."

Usually, James cooked his own food.  This was for a variety of reasons, though the main reason for this was it was easier to plan nutrition and diet at home than it was somewhere else, and he frequented enough bars that he really could not afford to let go too often.  As it was, he had ordered a simple sandwhich with eggs and watercress.  Not the best tasting thing on the menu, but it got the job done.  He was out running errands, and had a typical gray robe on of relatively high quality.

Still, he had his hands on a variety of sundries in one hand and his sandwich in the other when he learned that despite magic, two people cannot occupy the same space at the same time.  James was pretty steady with his hands and feet after playing professionally for so long, and his reflexes covered what his balance did not.  To James, it appeared the girl seemed to be somewhat athletic as well.  Fortunately, between the two of them they managed to avoid dropping anything.

"Guess I should slow down some myself.  On that note, I see an empty table over there, feel free to join me after I claim it " James said, not really wasting much time.  Ordinarily, James would put a bit more work into talking to woman, but he had not yet seen her and only assumed she looked good due to her reaction time.  That, and James had to do a fair amount of fancy footwork to claim the table without bumping into anyone else.  Conveniently enough, James somehow managed to claim an empty table with four chairs.

James placed his sundries on the floor and his sandwich on the table.  He could act like a gentleman from time to time, and right now his manners were showing.  He would at least get the girls chair if she managed to follow him through that maddening crowd.  James was not entirely sure how he made it himself, but did not think too much of it.  If that girl did manage to follow him, he would at least wait to sit down after her.  Especially since he sort of just vaunted off a second ago.
