O Hallow's Eve- It's Halloween so Freddie's throwing a costume party! Accepting both scary and silly!

Still No Cure for the Common Birthday-  It is Liam Darrow's birthday - he is the charming, slightly flirty chap who owns and runs The Yelling Compass in Diagon Alley. Drinking has taken place, more will, but for now - dancing and people to be flirted with

Scary Stories Under the Stars-The Astronomy Club is hosting a special Halloween event -- late-night scary stories around a (indoor) campfire. Open to all students, plus any professors who want to supervise and/or scare people.

A Drop of Two Kinds- It started as a conversation, maybe a dare, up to a challenge and has now bubbled up into a spectacle as a crowd of students gather to watch. The half-mer Heliotrope LeJean has been talked into making a high dive off the footbridge into the lake.

On the night of November 5th, as wizarding and Muggle worlds alike, 'celebrated' Guy Fawkes night with bonfires and fireworks, the Leaky Cauldron was torn apart by three explosions. There were many injuries, and some NPC fatalities. The magic tore through the charms that protect the pub from Muggles on Charing Cross Road.

The race is on now to heal those who were trapped inside, and find out who could have done such a thing.

Superstar wiki supervisor has been weaving his magic again with the wiki in recent weeks. Here's a rundown of what's new from Cody:

Avatars

Avatar file names on the wiki are now easier.  Instead of worrying about camelCase and adding avatar onto the end before the file's extension, it's now just First Last.Extensions(jpg, png, etc.).  Please be sure to match the First and Last name with the name of the character's wiki page as well.  Don't worry about all the avatar files that were already the other way, they have all been moved over to the new format.

Also a reminder, if changing an avatar on the wiki, there is no need for a all new file.  Go to the original avatar file and under the File History section there is a link to "Upload a new version of this file."  Click there and you can upload a brand new avatar that automatically (after a refresh) will be everywhere the old avatar was.

Weather

New weather almanac updates.  In addition to the way too much weather information that has been there for the past few in game months, sunrise and sunset information is now included for every day (and is different for London and Hogwarts).

NPC Center + Adoptions

The NPC Center has been fixed and updated, don't forget to check it out when you need victims.  Or just small talk buddies.

Of course, don't forget to check the adoption center for all those babies that need a home.

Non-Player Character pages now have a nice little indicator up in the upper right of the page, across from the page title and next the Hogwarts House emblem, that show that the character is an NPC and what permission level they are.

Character Infoboxes

The occupation section of the character infoboxes is undergoing changes as well.  In the next few weeks the former occupation section of the form will be phased out in favor of a checkbox "Current Job" under occupation.  In fact all current occupations have been updated to use this.  There are also two new fields to fill out, "Date Job Started" and "Date Job Ended."  The names speak for themselves and can be filled in with just a year, month/year, or day/month/year.
