Moira could scarcely believe she had done it. Sure she'd done all the reading and research she could find on the subject and carried that silly leaf in her mouth for a month, whether it actually did anything or not she still wasn't certain, but many others had who never became animagus had done what she now had.
Everything... looked different than normal and her sense of smell and hearing were definitely improved. Otherwise it took surprisingly little time to adapt to her new four legged wolf form. It was a Sunday so there were students about the grounds or in the castle furiously trying to catch up on their studies so she stuck to the shadows and along the forests edge. Oh the sounds she heard from in there! It was so tempting to go explore inside but she refrained and instead took off running just along the edge.
As a human Moira couldn't be considered weak - helping to handle magical horses plus all the chores had kept her fit - and as a wolf her form seemed to have readily grasped that. She felt incredible, like she could run for quite a few kilometers before needing to stop for a rest.
It wasn't until some pangs in her stomach telling her she should consider eating did she turn her thoughts to getting food from the castle. With a sigh she waited for the change to happen as she had done when turning wolf.... and nothing happened. Confused Moira tried again and a few times more before letting out a growl of frustration.
Everything she read had said absolutely nothing about how difficult it might be to turn back to human! There was the groundskeeper, but Moira had thought that was a conscious decision on his part.
Now what was she supposed to do? Moira sat back and whined.
