[Oct 2] She's Made of Candy [PM]

on March 30, 2015, 05:57:37 PM

Blessedly free Hogsmeade weekend!  Indica could not be more excited.  It wasn’t even like she was taking a full course load, she hadn’t since fifth year and her grades had actually markedly improved since she’d dropped all of the dead weight of dumb courses she’d never use in her life (probably).  If she did, she’d probably be able to catch up later.

So, practically skipping along the path, as one excited as Indi was might do, she hummed and laughed and was more than happy to hang out with her friends.  Plus, it was time for the best part of anyone’s trip to Hogsmeade and tradition for her and Roh.

For so many years it had been an innocent stuffing of bags to buy… then it turned into a lot of sampling (still a lot of buying) and then you started adding in the dirty jokes… and it was just something they had to do whenever it was a delightfully non-school weekend.  So when the village appeared in sight and Indi basically knew the way by heart, she grabbed Roh’s hand and practically dragged her as though they were third years again and it was a brand new experience.

Sure, many of the younger students were headed in the exact same direction… but long legs meant they’d get there faster and though Indi was all for fairness and equality, they were seventh years.  They should get in first and get all the best samples first.  Maybe they’d have some ice mice out!  Indi loved them.

Though, she supposed she’d love anything that was free right now (she acted as though her parents made her work for her money).  “Come on,” she looked over her shoulder with a wink and pushed through the crowd of younger years and bit her lip.  “Maybe there are some peppermint toads!” she squealed even more delightedly before heading straight for what appeared to be a tray of free for the taking goodies.

“Liquorice wands!” she said gleefully, picking it up before holding out the end toward Roh.  “Wanna bite?” she wiggled her eyebrows with a laugh.  Toooooo easy, she thought and grinned wider.

Title comes from "Candy" by Robbie Williams.

If Roh were an overly sentimental sort of person she might have remarked on how this was the first of Hoggies of their last year, carrying on about the march of time and how nothing gold can stay. She was too busy watching Indica's backside with a smirk, long legs carrying her easily behind the other girl on their traditional traipse down high street.

She rolled her eyes a little at the other girl's urging, though she did quicken her step, trying her best not to trample the under years. Merlin, third years were short! Still, Indi's energy was infectious as always (or was it that little bit of something they had smoked outside of the village), Roh was suddenly very excited about the prospect of sweets. She personally liked Fizzing Whizzbees the best, which was the barrel she might have made a beeline for if Indi hadn't stopped her.

Liquorice wands. It was almost too easy, "As a rule I don't go around putting short stubby things in my mouth," she snickered a little, wrapping her mouth around the offered sweet and biting down, having to tug to get the tough little morsel to separate, "there's an exception to every rule, what else are you going to try and get me fat with"?

Indi laughed wildly as Roh declared she didn’t put short, stubby things near her mouth and shook her head.  “Oh, that’s right!” she teased with shiny eyes, “Pardon my mistake – I should have grabbed the… longest… thickest one,” she wiggled her eyebrows and pulled her hand back as Roh bit and tugged so the liquorice would snap.

The satisfying pop of candy caused her hand to shoot back reflexively and Indi didn’t hesitate to put the rest of the wand in her mouth.  She didn’t care about getting fat or eating too much or feeding Roh.  She was perfect the way she was, and Indi didn’t mind something to grab onto… the thought made a devious little smirk.

When she finally was able to get through chewing the wand morsel, Indi pursed her lips and sauntered closer, biting her lip.  “Maybe some… jelly slugs?” she raised her eyebrows, “I always fancied if you pushed two together they might look like a pair of very luscious lips!” she giggled and moved around the table.

“Any better ideas of what to munch on?” she asked Roh with a playful grin.  “Or we could just grab another wand and you know… meet in the middle?”
