Were the lights flickering? The Department for International Magical Cooperation had always been among the more impressive spaces at the Ministry of Magic, but clearly the tiny Muggle Affairs Office had been neglected.  Unless the old (werewolf) Wizengamot Elder was imagining things, it seemed to him that the small office was a  magically inflated...closet? 

The Ministry of Magic had been elbows deep in a complete financial accounting for some months now.  Documents, scrolls, and chests of receipts were moving around the halls on carts all making their way to Level One.  The Wizengamot was largely funded by coffers directly from Level One and so their part in the audit had been more or less finished. But that didn't mean they were done.  The Minister of Magic had requested legal assistance from the Wizengamot to inquire with interior offices and bureaus who were struggling with delays.  It was an unconventional request, but Knox Greyfriar was junior enough in the government that he really couldn't protest.

He rapped on the door, which was slightly ajar. 

"Muggle Affairs Office? Anyone within? I have an appointment...?"
