It was a night of celebration, though a few mojitos (that were stronger than she expected) later, Maiko had forgotten what exactly they had been celebrating. But Cal had consumed more than his fair share of rum-and-cokes and IPAs, and was currently in the bathroom-- not to puke, but because she had quoted a movie.  He enjoyed Elf, she didn't know why that had put him in sad-drunk mode. Apparently drunk Cal thought that everyone felt like he was a cotton headed ninny muggins.

"Cal. Please come out. There are people who need to use the loo." She said, her heels in her hand. They had been too difficult to walk in two drinks ago.

"Pleeeeease. Cal. Seriously."

"Cotton headed ninny muggins." He sobbed through the door. "Sing the song of my people"

She had no idea what the song of his people were. Mai groaned and gave in. "Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? Caught in a landslide, no escape from reality." She started. Queen was the first thing that came to mind-- not  Though Mai was not out of tune, there was a quality in her voice that was distinctly unpleasant. She continued through Bohemian Rhapsody, the sobbing seemed to have quieted behind the door. At least Cal was listening. Or maybe he had sobbed himself to sleep.

Fellow drunks and their designated apparaters were staring because Maiko had sung three verses of a song to a drunk man through the bathroom door with as much energy and enthusiasm as she could muster.

"I see a little silhouetto of a man." She cleared her throat, "Scaramouch, scaramouch will you do the fandango?"
