Indica sat cross legged on the
chair the room had deemed a requirement, Indi looked at the large blackboard, unattached from a wall, but rather on stilts, the sort that could swivel to the other side if needed and appraised the work being done. It was a passing fancy, brought on by a serious hit of very good gilly. She’d brought it from home and it was serious quality.
Gripping her hands on her ankles, Indica laughed brightly and shook her head. “Um… I think his name was Nolan… something Nolan, Irish?” she shrugged. Indi was usually more for hook ups with people she already knew, people she got to know, but Nolan had been a spur of the moment choice. Not a regretted one at all. Humming, she shrugged and watched as the line was drawn between her and Katrina, bringing her count up to fourteen. What a number.
“You can always use that excuse,” she grinned, “you know I prefer… a much more laid back environment,” she teased. Indica wasn’t one for status or position, and she didn’t drink or do anything that didn’t grow out of the ground, so the kinds of parties that she imagined Imongen talked about and desired to go to were less appleaing to the Kemp girl. Her parents had always encouraged her to seek out what she liked – she had tried.
The results had not been… fortuitous. “You know, I’ve never been an overachiever,” she commented with a wry smile, “but I think this is one to write home about?” she queried with an amused expression, holding out a fake piece of parchment and an invisible quill to write. “Dear mum,” she began, “you would be so proud to know I have been experimenting with…” she glanced up at the board, “everyone, and it’s come to my attention that I am sexually connected to upwards of 14 – or more – people. Happy school, mom!” She laughed and leaned back into the chair and let out a long laugh, her neck stretching over the back of the chair.
Sitting up slowly, Indi’s eyes adjusted and she smiled serenely. “Whatd’ya think? A solid letter?” She smirked and returned to grabbing her ankles. “Or should we do a form letter for each of our parents?”
