[July 25] Wide Awake [M]

M for potential suggestive content. Just in case. ;)

The early summer sunshine had broken through the curtains earlier, but it wasn't until the sun had risen proper, that it stirred the black haired witch enough to wake her. One dark brown eye cracked open, and she examined the room around her.

She'd not really looked at it in detail before falling into bed, but as her eye took a wander around the papers her lips curled. It wasn't until she turned over that she saw the band posters above them. Oh yes, she'd seen those last night, but as she tilted her head, her black hair spilling out across the pillows like liquid, she appreciated some of the names, and the artwork.

The Swedish witch rolled over to her left, nestled her head against him, her right arm around his torso. He was almost a foot taller than her, but this didn't bother her - quite the opposite, she liked a tall man. There was something oddly protective, and exciting about a man who was tall enough to literally pick her up. His muscular shoulders had been trailed with kisses hours before, and she had kissed every single stomach muscle on her way down that tanned skin.

She lay there, quite happy, not too warm despite the warmer summer weather, and listened to his breathing until she felt him stir beneath her fingertips. The witch kissed him gently on the stomach before pushing herself up the bed a little with her bare feet to reach his lips with hers, pressing her body against his as she did.

"Morning sleepyhead." Elixa greeted softly, and kissed him again, smiling gently. Her right hand traced down his side, and came to rest beneath his navel. "I didn't mean to wake you. But, I'm glad I did."

The warbling of Celtic over the wireless was heard as the wizard woke slowly to this and the gorgeous woman kissing him. How ever he was given this brief chance with Elixa, Rufus was not at all certain but he wasn't going to discourage the notion.  Hi chocolaty eyes soon were seen as he looked to her, smiling at him. "Didn't mean to? I find that quite hard to believe that,  my dear.  Thi said, are you so keen for another round or do we want brunch first? Because if you haven't had Rover's Irish Breakfast, you're missing out on it." A smarmy grin stayed on his face,  leaning towards Elixa, planting a deep kiss and left it there for a few moments before pulling away.

"As for that breakfast,  there's two interpretations to how you may take that matter, Miss Mordent. However, I'll just let you have all fun determining whether you want one or both of them, " he replied, smirking in amusement. Grabbing for his wand, Rufus flicked it at the wireless, changing it to a station from Dublin that favoured in playing Irish rock. Putting the trusty sidekick back on the nightstand, his eyes returned back to Elixa, smiling. "I may say it a million times more, but Miss Mordent, you are absolutely a wild Irish rose. Fair and worn, yet unturned by the tide. Thank you your patronage to not only Rover's, but this man's room." And with that said, Rufus leaned in, kissing Elixa happily.

"… are you so keen for another round or do we want brunch first? Because if you haven't had Rover's Irish Breakfast, you're missing out on it."
"Am I now?" Elixa smiled, and leaned into his kiss, enjoying the pressure of his lips against hers. She slid her leg over his as their lips parted.

"And how do you know what I like for breakfast?" She asked,
"… there's two interpretations to how you may take that matter, Miss Mordent." Rufus teased, "However, I'll just let you have all the fun determining whether you want one or both of them."
"Hmmm…."
With that he raised his wand, Elixa's dark eyes following the movement as he changed the station on the wireless.

"Well," She began slowly, rolling over a little, a smile playing across her lips, "I'm certainly hungry," She extended the leg that was draped across his, pointing her toes a moment and pretending to contemplate her options properly a moment.

In one swift moment she slid her leg over and was astride, grinning,
"Sounds like I'll need my appetite."

The wireless was announcing the turn of the hour as Elixa's bare feet pattered out of the bathroom again and into the bedroom, wearing her underwear and a band t-shirt that belonged to Rufus and nearly reached her knees - being somewhat shorter than him. Her outfit the previous evening wasn't quite the comfortable thing to slip back into on a morning for breakfast, and there was something about wearing clothes procured from a handsome wizard, so she felt infinitely more comfortable.

She took her wand to her hair to billow it dry with warm air, a mane of black, gentle curls cascading forward as she tipped her head over for a minute or two. Flipping it back, dry, she stretched and smiled contentedly, the t-shirt creeping up her thighs as she did.
"So, is the breakfast as good as the owner in bed?" She asked cheekily, and despite herself, laughed at the ridiculous statement and reached out to Rufus, wrapping her arms around his waist.

"Sounds like I'll need my appetite."

Mercy, this woman was absolutely amazing, there were no doubts about that. Sure, there had been other individuals Rufus had spent under the bedsheets with, but Elixa felt different somehow. Almost as if she was providing for him a reprieve from the doldrums that seemed to be around lately. That, and he had no desire to hurt her feelings nor to disrespect the relationship between the two of them. After all, at the end of the day Elixa be was his friend -- and by their latest escapades, possibly a lot more.

He had been the acceptable host, allowing the witch to take advantage of the shower before himself, grinning while listening to her sing faintly to the wireless. Once she exited and began to dress up for the day, namely in his own clothing, Rufus smirked gently before moving to the sink. She looked amazing in his shirt -- a note to recollect upon when Elixa departed. His own form, mostly tanned still and quite nude for a moment until a towel wrapped around the waist, was clearly available for the viewing. Rufus listened to her feet draw near and smiled warmly as Elixa's arms trapped him gently. He chuckled to the suggestion of whether his brunches were as good as he was.

For. Shame.

"My dear apothecary lass... Did we forget in between the rounds that I spoke highly of the breakfast? Seems to me, I need to properly acclimate you to the standard Irish breakfast. Don't worry about the blood sausages -- I've never been really big on them. You like mushrooms and taters, bangers, egg, toast, butter, tea? Coffee, if not the tea? And if you want jams, I'll get them too. Anything you'd like, I don't mind at all t'get for you," Rufus remarked warmly, smiling softly to the witch.

"Jus' promise me this: You stay in m'shirt, ay? It'd be a right shame to see you out of it so soon."

Elixa laughed, looking up at him towering over and smiled gracefully.
"You say that like you think you're going to get it back." She spoke quietly, pressing her body against his. "This definitely looks better on me."

She leaned back, balancing the weight of her upper body with her arms around his waist as if to let him see better and agree.
"The question is," she began again, unlooping one arm and then the other, turning on the spot to put her back to him, "whether I just stay in your shirt…" She slowly and purposefully bent over…

Her fingers retrieved the jeans she'd been wearing the previous night which had fallen off the back of a chair. She'd not felt in the mood for a dress, but something more practical. It was whether Rufus thought his shirt over her bare legs covered enough of her modesty to eat breakfast, or whether he'd be unable to concentrate on it.

"I want everything," she assured him, straightening up and stealing a glance behind her to catch his expression.

"My, Rufus, are you listening?"

"Ay, m listening to you and taking a few glances on the way. It's hard, mind you, because of the way you keep moving about this room. And 'sides, ye saw my bum last night and now already today. I imagine that your focus went a bit 'skewed too. That all said, feel free t'keep the tee, but I best not be hearing about ye letting someone else in it," Rufus drawled out, leaning to give Lia a few chaste kisses to those gorgeous and divine lips before backing away.

"As for wanting everything,  I come included today, if it's any consideration.  Gimme a few minutes, love, hm? Feel free to go look around the room; I'll be back fo'ye in no time," Rufus reassured, heading out of the bedroom post dressing in jeans and nothing else, prepared for making Elixa's breakfast. She'd be given twenty, thirty minutes to peruse about until the man of hour returned with a feast. "Knock knock.  Breakfast for two, name under Mordent? Extra mushrooms, hold the bloody bits?" Rufus mused in a teasing, faux maitre'd voice. The unmistakable scents of bangers, fried taters,  mushroms, tea was there as he put the tray near them.

"The catsup's in th' pocket," came his sly voice, a naughty expression all over his gorgeous face.

"Said ye might be wanting him too."

In the twenty minutes or so that Rufus left her, Elixa had a good nose around, and had fiddled with the the wireless set before he returned with breakfast.

At the mention of something in his pocket, she took no hesitation in rooting around to find it, and a handful of wizard too with a wink.

"Smells gorgeous Ru, thank you." She purred as she found somewhere to perch so she could tuck in, suddenly at lot more hungry than she had realised.

With her mouth full she relayed her approval with an appreciative set of muffled noises and thumbs up with the fork in her hand.

"You can come round and cook breakfast any time." She told Rufus with a grin. "Though I suppose I'd have more luck in coming to yours." She gave a shrug and hungrily tucked in to the next mouthful, chasing baked beans round her plate with the fork.

"Any plans for the day?" She asked, eyes straying to the state of undress Rufus was still in.

There was a low, pleased groan and a remark of "Beagán a rá agus é a rá go maith, Lix, crim,"[1] as he shuddered to her handling of goods and the such.

"Nae, no plans for me just yet. I know Man U has a game[2] later on today with the lads 'cross the pond, so Rover's and Pigs[3] is going to be busier, noisier than usual. That won't be until later on today, tonight, so you're more than welcome to join in the festivities if you wish. If not, I've got Rover's to open within the hour provided Kieran hasn't opened up shop yet." Reaching close to what had intended to be their plate in joint consumption, Rufus grabbed a smidgeon of tater and shroom, stuffing it into his mouth, smirking cheekily as he munched away, swallowing a moment later.

"What, did y'have something in mind for us both, love?"

Ru's grin only seem to double.

"Because I'm not th' least bit opposed to the idea."

Elixa more or less recalled "Man U" to be a football team in the Muggle world that Rufus spoke of, but past that had little understanding. Of course he would be working, that was a bit of a sitter of a question. The weekends and evening were when Rufus worked, the opposite of the majority of the working.

"Hm," Elixa replied, clearing her throat before she answered properly, "I we just wondering, y'know. No particular plans, well other than to enjoy the good weather - but I forget you have to work on days like this."

She realised how much she was eating and gestured to Rufus.
"Don't let me eat all this myself, I won't fit out the door!"

"Oh, pffft. You'll fit right through it just fine, Lix," Rufus reassured, grabbing Elixa's hand gently, shoveling mushroom, potato and bean on it before raising it to his mouth and his tongue, lips took it in. Munching as his eyes stayed fixated on the witch, Rufus couldn't help but still feel a bit smitten with this woman. This dangerous, alluring, gorgeous woman. No doubt this was how his father and mother felt when they eyeballed one another, save an Irish breakfast, Rufus thought to himself.

Then again, his mum probably had fixed Roddy[1] an Irish breakfast once, winning him over with food. After all, wasn't food an excellent way to make someone happy? Feed them and they're yours for a while?

"I've a few hours until the match an' all that -- not so keen in having y'run out on me so soon, luv," Rufus reassured as he snagged a smaller banger, plopping it into his mouth, munching away.

"I bet you're not." Elixa teased playfully, dropping her fork to the the plate and dabbing at baked bean juice at the corner of her mouth. She stretched up with both arms before settling back a little to watch Rufus.

He was certainly something easy on the eye to watch. She'd had more a while to look at him astride him before breakfast. He was a traditionally handsome man, and owning a pub certainly did appeal to many girls.

She had resisted the temptation a couple of times, admittedly just to see if he was casting his net in any direction on a night, or just interested in the banter but no more. Though now they knew of each other in such a way, it was easier to find themselves back there.

"So what's the appeal, this football thing? I get that there's two teams and there's a ball like a quaffle but it's not meant to be thrown, but kicked. The goals are big wide things and there's no brooms, obviously, but what's the point of it all, and why are Muggles so obsessed?"

.... it wasn't something that could be answered in ten words, Lix discovered...!
