Ignan Storm Biography / Wiki Currently: Teaching students at Hogwarts, moving from Godric's Hollow to Hogsmeade with his wife, the Head of St Mungo's, Miranda Elliot. Ideal for: Extra lessons, detentions, interactions with colleagues, assisting aurors. Plot possibilities: Student requests, crossing new staff, new acquaintances with fellow Hogsmeade residents, monopolising advice from regarding dementor prevention... most cases give me a character and between us we'll dream up a reason for the paths to cross.
	Johann Storm Biography / Wiki Currently: Living and loving Balfour Spectre sick buckets to the left, working for Dept International Magical Co-operation by day, working for private clients including Ira Almasy and Vedir Prideaux, and trying not to give in to sleeping potion addiction. Ideal for: Ministry plots, translating your NPCs, adopting as an established friend, including in dodgy situations, snooping on the Ministry, advising with criminal trade, forgery, social threads Plot possibilities: Offshoot plots from Vedir or Ira's consort of criminals, international links and ties with plots, social situations, any situation where your adult character needs a mildly unconventional friend, internships with DIMC, language lessons
	Camille Duerr (Storm) Biography / Wiki Currently: Coming to terms with widowed life, living at Hogwarts to teach Arithmancy, finding new friends and a new her Ideal for: Professor-student interactions (she's a trustworthy, caring listener), wine over lunch, making new friends with other ladies (though men aren't off bounds, I just see her being more of a female friends sort), mother away from home for a homesick student, hangover potions for the alcohol you snuck into the common room... Plot possibilities: Her surprise at SAWS is to be explored (it's a bit of a raw topic), interviews about her husband with MLE/Prophet, family or new friend social threads.
	Francis Pepper Biography / Wiki Currently: Makes time turners in the Department of Mysteries, in love and engaged to Gabrielle Murray and new Hogwarts Governor. Father to Ambrose and Tim, expecting another in 2011 with Gabrielle - which hasn't gone down all that well with family. Ideal for: Moments of ordinary wizarding life, established friendships with similar aged magical people, working with fellow Hogwarts parents to respond to a Hogwarts event, corresponding with by owl over matters of science and magic, standing up for Muggleborns when set upon, being frowned upon for his relations with Gabrielle (she's Head of DIMC), being a mentor to new Ministry types Plot possibilities: Anything related to time turners, Daily Prophet reporters trying to fish for information about his brother and the flying cars, wizarding family moments, students visiting the Pepper household, new Ministry hires who need a mentor of sorts, correspondence
	Ambrose Pepper Biography / Wiki Currently: Studying his fifth year in Gryffindor, though mow a prefect, but still blowing up things regularly and dealing with being a teenager. Trying to learn non-verbal magic to reduce his volatile magic. With Juni Zamperia since Christmas 2010. This year, somehow looking more handsome than the last...! Ideal for: Any Hogwarts shenanigans! As part of the Howler he will also attempt to report on gossip and goings on. Great for bodged magic, being a bit of a twit, loyal friend. Will ask advice of many older students, but also can dispense dodgy advice to younger years. Plot possibilities: Friendly attempts to help him with this non verbal magic, well meaning professor advice, detentions, detentions and more detentions, and Hogwarts shenanigans. Also, anyone welcome round the Peppers any holiday. Except maybe Casey.
	(Octavius) Monty Pepper Biography / Wiki Currently: In the Daily Prophet for all the flying cars. Also famous for painting magical portraits. A time turner accident while in America caused him to go back 20 years - so he appears to have aged 20 years during Autumn while away. Currently petitioning the Ministry to allow flying cars. Ideal for: Knowing lots of wizarding world types, charming your cars and motorbikes to fly, mischief, providing a place to stay for students who are friends with the Pepper girls. Plot possibilities: More flying vehicles! Magical portraits, friendships with other adult witches and wizards, newspaper interviews, wireless interviews, demonstrations, more MLE trouble.
	Edwin Glass Biography / Wiki Currently: Head of the Dept. Magical Accidents and Catastrophes. Wizengamot member. Slyly causing havoc with Ira Almasy, keeping an eye on Lawrence Musgrave. Single. Ideal for: Shouting at MLE. Shouting at people who have magical accidents. Big accidents like the sneezing muggles. Dementor catastrophes. Other muddles and drama in the Ministry. Convincing to cover up your criminal disasters. Working on dark plots as drawn together by Ira Almasy Plot possibilities: Repercussions from magical accidents whether caused by individual, family or at work. Pressure from the Daily Prophet etc about the handling of the dementor troubles, aurors annoying him. Potential deals with the underworld to turn a blind eye, or help cover up any situation that might draw the Ministry's attention.
	Elixa Mordent (Secondary) Biography / Wiki Currently: Healer in training. Lodging with Arcturus in Diagon Alley (277B). Several occasional romantic partners including Arc. Ideal for: Romantic flings (any gender, species), patching up people when hurt, dispensing minor medical advice, wild nights out, new friendships. Drinking. Plot possibilities: Healing people together, being healed by her, friendships, romance.
	Lawrence Musgrave Biography / Wiki Currently: Ex-Azkaban prisoner working to control dementors and suffering for it. Wanted in relation to the Leaky Cauldron disaster and several other incidents. Excellent at imperio. At the mercy of Ira Almasy following July full moon. Ideal for: Attacking the Ministry, causing proper trouble, criminal deeds, any interaction with dark wizards, experimenting with dark magic, blackmailing. Plot possibilities: attempting to control the dementors and use them for dark means, being nasty to MLE and other Ministry workers, being creepy generally.
	William Shufflebottom (Secondary) Biography / Wiki Currently: Ex-Azkaban inmate, with wife and children living in Godric's Hollow. Breeds questionable magical creatures, habitual liar. Assists Lawrence Musgrave with dementors and has an enormous dragon patronus. About to be rumbled. Ideal for: Being pickpocketed by, buying dodgy creatures off, knowing from school or since. Plot possibilities: being demented by in Jan with Lawrence. Questioning. Arresting.
	Mortimer Gamp [Come take this bugger down!] Biography / Wiki Currently: Head of the Department of Mysteries. Married, grown up sons, intrigued by the possibility of removing magic from someone entirely, dementors, and the way magic manifests itself in young children. Holding a dementor captive in the DoM for experimentation. Kidnapped fourteen students, killing four in the process of experimentation in February 2011. COME GET HIIIIIM. Ideal for: Any DoM related activity. Dementor research, shady research to remove people's magic, high-up Ministry discussions. Interviewing, arresting, investigating, sentencing to Azkaban. Plot possibilities: Very open to any DoM movement, dementor research, attempts to control dementors, consorting with dark wizards who dementors find agreeable. Any relations with colleagues and wizarding world people of similar age, or within the Ministry.
	Ariadne Gamp (Secondary) Biography / Wiki Currently: Seventh Year Gryffindor, Prefect and Quidditch player. Enjoyed the SEA trip and back to have some fun in her final year. About to be shocked and sickened by her grandparents doing things to her classmates. Ideal for: Being an existing friend, tackling homework or duelling practice together, swaying into trying out frowned upon potions ingredients for some fun, a bit of ticking off, fun, exploration, possible romantic interactions with either gender. Plot possibilities: Above.
	Cepheus Gamp Biography / Wiki Currently: Head of Being Division, lives alone in Diagon Alley with his cat, Claude. Spending time with friends and family, about to be shocked by his parents. Seeking a suitor. Best mates with Nate (Written by Kelly) Ideal for: Being an existing friend, colleague, drinking partner. Relationships or casual pairings (men only), Being/Beast related plots, old wizard family social circles. Plot possibilities: Above.
	Nadine Pinn Biography / Wiki Currently: Auror, mother to Ariadne Gamp. Working on any case assigned to. Ideal for: Being your auror partners. Investigating crimes, getting into sticky situations. Being your friend, getting you out of trouble. Plot possibilities: Need an auror partner or two, can be called out to help your character if they are in trouble, meet dementors etc. Loves to network so may approach higher powered characters with the intention of befriending them.

So, I have a couple of ideas.  First, Alberic and Mortimer could do with some face time>  (*Cue condescending looks and evil hand rubbing*)  He's probably uncomfortable about DoM's use of children--but not for ethical reasons; more because, well, now people know evil things are happening.  Maybe a conversation on that once it comes to light? (We can PM about specifics?)  Also Alberic's been doing dementorstuffs, if Mortimer wants an update!

Another thing, Adon's hit a wall in the potions investigation, so he's deciding to interview victims to see if he can figure out any motives for the suspect.  (I am reaching out to the other active vics, as well).  Maybe an interview with Johann and Adon from that perspective? (Again, we can PM about more specifics if it's something you'd be interested in? I don't want anything getting Johann into trouble, so we'd definitely be mindful of that!!)

From a social perspective, Amaryllis is tickled pink by Camille; they could meet up again after Hogsmeade for a more pleasant (and less crime-riddled) encounter.  It's also head-cannon in my brain that Amaryllis has a huge crush on that cute, sensitive looking Cepheus Gamp.  Too bad he's "destined for Prim" in her mind! *smirk*  We could do something there, if you'd be game for light/fluffy/awkward (and certainly unrequited) flirtation.

Ricky and Tim Alberic and Mortimer

The use of children in the kidnapping plot went outside of DoM and more to Mortimer and Lyra’s original research as DoM unspeakables in decades past. They have gone a bit cuckoo. Alberic is most welcome to be appalled one hearing after the event. We could alternatively foreshadow a bit in earlier Feb which could allow Alberic to entirely drop Mortimer in it later.

Yes to a dementor update! Perhaps that could be the primary reason to meet? Perhaps under the horrible glow of the dementor? Also could tie in with Alberic at the pub. Mortimer might disclose there is another party involved (Loz).

Potions Investigation

Lix is the one who did some digging - but OOC it was threaded at a bad moment so we had to abandon the thread:  Drammes, Scruples, Grains. She’d be enthusiastic to speak more on it with Adon. Johann would be evasive as best because he’s responsible and also it is about his vice. Potentially the pair of them might even work? Lix would have no concerns in disclosing all her info and dragging Joh along to help as he worked for Drammes for a while too (which is how he is able to help it).

Amaryllis and Camille

Definitely! Camille seems to attract the young ladies as friends, and it is my intention to build up a lot of female friends for her. Late Jan works she's not all that busy with threads.

Ricky and Tim sound like the hosts of a children's program.  Knowing these two, it'd be just about the most unsuitable program ever.  ("And this is the proper procedures for exsanguination, children!" Sorry. I'll stop.)  Would you want to start that thread, since Tim's the boss-man? Should we have it happen after Feb 14 to have it be a two-birds-with-one-stone and possibly segue into discussion of the children's kidnapping? And I'd love the possibility of Loz/Alberic rivalry/hatred/frenemy or just enemy-ness down the line.  Alberic has no idea how much he's already pissed him off. In fact, Alberic doesn't really even know who Loz is.

YES to Adon and Lix (and Johann).  We've been throwing around the idea of a thread with them for what, the better part of a year, on and off?  A group dynamic could be fun. (Mostly because if the Ira/Raine thread is any indicator, Adon's pretty bad at trying to interpret feedback from two people at a time, so that could be great and chaotic and put Johann out of the hotseat a bit.)  I just did an update with Solomon, which brings in all that, so Lix is definitely a necessary component in all that. 

Would it work that Adon sent an owl to Johann, it went unanswered (at least for a time), but the owl to Lix came back enthusiastic and she managed to drag Johann into it anyhow? (Adon'll be very amused that he roped him in anyhow.)  I can start that thread, if you'd like. Any preference on date? We could either do it before Jan 8th (with her info being a good source leading to his update) or afterwards. I'll start working on that.

Let's do a correspondence with Maree and Camille for starters? (Because those tend to be quicker and we can build some rapport, there. ) I'll work on that, too.

Amaryllis is totally capable of harboring years-long crushes (with no known basis, with no hope, and no actions taken on her part) so this can be ludicrous. Let's say since Hogwarts but that she's recently had to put her tender feelings for Ceph aside in light of the obvious chemistry between Prim and Ceph at the Christmas party (and her mother's wishes).  I can insert her into the Prewett's and have her make eyes at him. Consider it done... eventually. (It was taking me so dang long to figure out which characters to offer for threads because I couldn't pick.  After you know, week 2 of working on my proposal, I just offered them all. I may be spread thin, but I'll work on getting to all these.

Morberic - would give children nightmares. Quite literally, they could both get into heads. Yus, I am happy to begin it. Perhaps indeed, Feb 14th - with Mortimer all smug that his experiment is going well after working all weekend. Keeping up appearances. The rabble don’t escape until about 7pm. After that I suspect Mortimer will be at the scrutiny of DMLE to explain what has happened in his own Department.

Albrence - Lawrence is a bit unhinged without his village idiot come February, so perhaps we could tackle something later in the new timeline.

Adonix+1 - We have indeed. Jan 8th is a Saturday, before is good - 4/5th work (Tue/Wed) as I have a gap there. She would be a good source and certainly back up the bit about Heinz Werner. I had intended her to cajole Johann into helping her figure things out but he protested as he’s recovering in December. I also realised after my last that the bugger doesn’t know for sure his actions were related until the 14th Jan, and has been trying to bury the notion that it is. If you’re starting that, that’s great. I agree with the notion he ignored the owl (and/or memo)

Marmille - (much nicer than Marmite) no worries! I owe you a reply to the group thread. I keep reckoning that’s about to end and it goes on...

Cephyllis - heeheeheee - oh my days. She’s class of 2003, he’s 1995 so they weren’t at school together (8 years difference), but the families grew up knowing each other so it’s perfectly reasonable the pair know each other regardless of Hogwarts for this. He’d have been mid-twenties and working in the Goblin Office just as she left Hogwarts. Lunches over the years at work? Invitations over for intelligent conversation? Nights out? Generally friendly - she’s a very likeable person - they’re both kind souls! Ceph could well be somewhat oblivious to this and interpret it as warm friendship which might make it worse for poor Maree if they’re increasingly comfortable in close presence! He would certainly dance with her
