    Pureblood, Halfblood or Muggleborn: Muggleborn

    Wand:
Randy carries a Pliable Ash wand which is used for Transfiguration. Her wand core is Unicorn Tail and the surface is very smooth. The wand was received at Ollivander’s and it is only about 7 inches.

    Physical Description:
Randilyn will never be seen wearing the latest fashion. Even in the Muggle World Randilyn was always made fun of for her outfits. But it's not her fault, she enjoys being herself. Anything that she can spare around the house or any fabric that brings her attention will be worn. From scarves, hats, and little booties Randilyn can't help but look out of the ordinary. She hates to look like everyone else and she can't help but look different. Her imagination won't allow her to be anything but different. People try to bring her down but mostly she ignores them entirely.

With strawberry blonde hair, brown eyes, and the ability to almost see over the driver seat, Randy can be described as gorgeous if she was taught how to dress properly and do her hair. Mostly her hair is curly due to genes or frizzy from the bad weather but other than that she has no other knowledge on how to do hair, if that was knowledge in the first place. Her mother never cared to show her -- well her mother had no idea either, so Randy was forced to look like any other bum from the streets.

Randilyn has a very mature face for her age, just a little round but when she progresses in life it will all thin out. She resembles her mother in many ways and there are pictures to prove it. Many think Randy is a first year due to her height but other than that Randy looks a bit old for her age. Whenever someone comes to a 5 foot radius of Randy she blushes. Her cheeks are usually red permanently because of this and her nose is the cutest thing (that’s what her mommy says). There is always a smile on the girls face and she has the ability to make others smile. It's because either she is funny looking or because her smile makes people smile. She has no clue. Her eyes are always set to a different universe outside of the classroom.

    Personality Description:
Randilyn is very unobservant. She has this sudden glow to her that makes everyone around her happy, even though they are laughing at her. She is rather weird and finds comfort in the oddest of places. She is also very vulnerable and gullible. Not only does she find worms fascinating but she rarely cares about the latest gossip. There is a natural barrier in between popular girls and Randy. No one seems to find her interesting even though Randy has a lot of quirks that can keep people entertained for hours. Not a lot of people try to get to know her since she loves sleeping outside in the rain or she can’t help but be cold all the time. Even in the summer she has to bring a sweater wherever she goes and people just find that embarrassing (since she carries it around her waist at all times).

Deep inside the mind of Randilyn Newell you could see that she has no idea what goes on around her. The only place where she knows what is happening is inside her own head that is filled with wonderful images with vibrant colors and pirate ships sailing to the sunset. A natural day dreamer she is. You could describe Randy as dorky. She has an odd way of viewing the world and no one knows how she does the things she does. She laughs at silent pauses and serious movies where people are supposed to cry, but she is the type of girl who cries in Casper the friendly ghost because he has no friends. People often use Randy for her kindness and her oblivious mind.

There is always that weird, what is going on mask that Randy seems to always put on in front of people. Mostly it's because she doesn't want to make a fool out of herself so she tries to pretend she has no idea what is going on. At times when it's just herself, she rethinks her whole day and remembers all the people who made fun of her and tries to separate from them but in the morning she just forgets everything. In other words Randilyn does not have a good memory. She is horrible at names. But there is no evil bone in her body and no one can mistake her caring personality. Many people drift form her since she has weird outbursts and talks about random stuff that people wouldn't dream of talking about. She is very blunt and she will tell you what she thinks. She never really grasps things, due to her being a "blonde".

Many people describe Randy as a pathetic Huffy who doesn't have a clue on what is going on in the world. There are no grownups, besides her professors, in the Wizarding World. Randy doesn't receive the Daily Prophet so in truth, they are right. Randy has no idea how to be a witch and being weird and funny looking never helps the cause. Going through Puberty has not helped Randy become popular. Mostly she keeps to herself and loves to draw creative images.

    History:
Randy’s mother, Camille Hannah Newell was a rebellious teenager who thought she knew everything in life. She never listened to what Donald and Doreen Newell (her parents) had to say and decided that she was the only one who had the brains to make it in life even though both of her parents were successful with great paying jobs. Probably one of the reasons why Camille was so rebellious was because she had no affection and was never cared for. When her mommy and daddy were out partying at some rich club, she was home sitting all by herself in her room. Sure it was grand but that wasn’t what she truly wanted, what she truly needed. All she ever wanted was her mommy and daddy and as soon as she got over this she never cared anymore.

After High school Camille thought it would be a great idea to move out of the house and try to make it on her own but she didn’t want to take the risk. If something happened to her like financial problems she wouldn’t be able to ask help from her parents again. So after graduating she decided to continue on living with her parents until she found the one. Of course her parents were never going to let her move out unless she had a husband, after all her parents were traditional. It would destroy their reputation if their only daughter went off and lived with some man who wasn’t her husband.

Because of her illegal and horrible ways of life, Camille eventually got what was coming to her. Doreen and Donald finally noticed that their only child was going down the wrong road. Yes it was weird how they were sending their already 18 year old daughter away but Camille did not disagree, anything to get out of the house would suffice. Her parents truly did love her (or at least tried to love her) and thought that they were doing the right thing for her so they decided that she needed to spend part of the summer with her Aunt Hannah, who Camille’s middle name came from. Aunt Hannah lived in New York City in The United State of America.

After her behavior did not approve for a little over two months, she was sent back home with another addition to the family. Inside her stomach was an already 2 month year old child. Once Randilyn was sure she was pregnant, you never know what happens when you do crazy stuff, she notified the sperm donor. Of course he totally denied what plainly was the truth and said he never wanted to hear from her again. He told her that it would ruin his career and he would be disowned from his family. "Besides, it was a one night stand and we were both drunk. You didn’t really think I cared for you" were his last words to Camille on the phone

With no one to tell, Camille decided to pretend everything was normal. She decided to get a job at one of her father’s firms so she could try and forget about the whole mess. For the next couple of months she did a very good job on hiding her bump that continued to swell. After her mother pointed out that she was gaining too much weight, Camille explained to her parents that she was pregnant. Immediately after this they kicked her out of their house saying they would rather have her dead then disgrace the family (Which was what their parents told everyone after Camille left). With nowhere to go and a baby in her belly Camille was forced to get a place of her own with the money she had saved up for this moment. Not only did she know that this was going to happen but she also knew that her little sunshine was the only hope that was going to make her get through life. If Camille was going to survive this then she would put all her devotion and time into raising the child and make sure that this child would feel love and compassion.

Thankfully her father had so much money he didn’t even notice it being taken away from his private places around the house. He of course had money in the bank but he never really trusted it fully so he made sure he had secret places to stash away some of his cash, where Camille took it to herself in the past to spoil herself with cloths and illegal dealings. So while Camille was still home she made sure to take as much as she could without being caught. It wasn’t like he made sure the money was there or even checked it at all. It was enough money to find a small apartment, nothing too grand, and find a job where she could work instead of wasting her supply. That was for the baby.

On March 5, 1995 it was time for the baby to come. Camille was delighted but scared. She was all alone during the process of labor and she couldn’t take her eyes off of her baby after she was delivered. She demanded the baby to be in the room for the time she was to be in the hospital.

Finally Randy (her nickname) was brought home and all was well. There was still the problem about how was Camille going to get to work when Randy was home unattended. Camille was still on maternity leave when she finally found the perfect women for the job. She was a retired nanny who fell in love with the two girls and wanted to help them. It was sad to say that Camille had to do one of the things that she sworn not to do, leave her daughter while she went to work.

Time apart did not make matters worse. It only made Randy want to see her mother even more. The pair grew a strong attachment to each other. Camille became the mother she always knew she would be, leaving all the illegal mess behind her. Randy was a very good baby. She rarely cried and she was always happy. Besides coloring on the walls and spinning around in circles all of the time, she never did much to worry her mother.

When Randy was around the age of 5, the nanny started to get a bit worried. Randy was doing unbelievable things. The nanny warned Camille about this but she didn’t believe it. Camille thought it was because of the nanny’s age. Finally it was time for Randy to start school; there was no need for the nanny anymore.

Of course being Randy, a girl who loves to live in lala land and be herself without anyone else in her personality, she was made fun of from day one. She didn’t really dress like everyone else since she didn’t have much money. Her mother did not go back to her parents asking for money once her savings were gone so she decided to live like any other single parent would. Randy didn’t make a lot of friends and she was perfectly fine with that. She had her mother and her cat Jeff. Randy never thought twice on what people said about her since she didn’t really care or even understand.

After a couple of years of schooling, Randy received a letter about some school called Hogwarts. At first her mother thought it was a joke so she threw away the letter only to have it appear the next day at the mail box. After it was explained to her about the school and how special Randy was how could she refuse? After all, Camille knew her daughter was special. It was hard to let go of her mother but it had to be done. Randy couldn’t help but be excited for the awaiting school. Finally she would be able to find her own people and be happy there, or she hoped.

Feeling a bit guilty leaving her mother all alone, Randy wrote all first year to her mother until Camille met another man who made her happy. That’s all that Randy wanted for her mother. So it was decided that once a week was good enough of a letter. Camille didn’t need her daughter’s letters to keep her company.

Now at her third year of Hogwarts, Randy cannot wait to start her adventures once more

How Do You Fit Into Your House?:
Randy can’t help but be loyal, kind, patient, and funny looking. There is no other place she would really fit into beside Hufflepuff. She is a bit of an odd ball.

    Writing Sample:
"Ohhh..." Randilyn sighed as she embraced the paper that was just recently ripped out of the newest Peacock magazine. She looked towards one of her roommates, Amelia, with dreamy eyes and maybe a little drool coming out of her mouth. Both her and her roommate shared the same obsession over the one and only Arius Tristisa. In Randy's eyes, not only was he the hottest guy in the ENTIRE world but he was going to marry her one day. One day he was going to be her knight and rescue her from the Hogwarts castle. One day he was doing to respond to one of her million letters and finally agree to meet her. It was only a matter of time.

"Amelia..." Randy sighed after hanging the picture of Arius flashing his teeth on her wall over her bed. "I can't wait to meet this guy. He must be better looking in person. I mean..." She sighed again with her hand over her chest. She fell on her bed and started to giggle. If only her mother found out that she was so in love with this man...

"I don't know Randy... I think he may go for me." said Amelia as she clutched the magazine out of Randy's hands. "It says it right in his profile that he loves girls with blonde hair and blue eyes. You clearly have none of those features."

That was it. It was one thing for Randy to hear her roommate go on and on about how cute her future husband Arius was and that they were going to be together. Like that could ever happen. Even in Amelia's dreams that seemed impossible for Randilyn to comprehend. Amelia was an ugly girl who would never have a chance. Randy could see it now... Arius laughing at her. Yes Randilyn was a rather nice girl who would never hurt a fly but when you tried to steal her future husband away... That was a whole different story.

Randilyn laughed. "Amelia, you don't have a chance." Her icy voice made it hard to find any trace of sarcasm. Maybe it was because there was none. She was as serious as a heart attack. Amelia's facial features changed and she was on the verge of yelling right back at Randilyn. Was it really worth it though? Randilyn only had a certain amount of friend as it was. Trying to force and laugh, Randilyn sat up right on the bed and hugged Amelia.

"You know I'm kidding." she said as she put her chin on Amelia's shoulder. Or was she?

Sum up your character in one paragraph:
Randilyn Newell is a dork that can't really get along with many people. She tries to fit in but she doesn't care either. She does things her own way but even still she wants to be accepted by everyone. She is rather confusing but simple at the same time. The only thing that is solid about Randilyn is that she loves to create things inside of her mind and maybe one day she will grow to be an artist if she works at it or work under fashion design. It isn't hard to make Randilyn happy and her best friend would have to be her own mother, Camille.
