Re: Searching for the Room [Gavin & Kyle] Reply #15 on January 18, 2009, 07:19:25 PM Girlfriend? What? Why did he have to use that word? Nicola and Gavin were going to have to have a talk about that. The dwelling on that one word was broken immediately as the feeling of hands was on her cheeks and lips against his. Bloody hell why did Gavin keep doing that? Okay so she knew why but wasn’t once good enough. Nicola was not going to admit that she liked the kiss though, Gavin’s lips felt amazing. She was working hard to keep any sort of blush from her cheeks.Nicola turned away from looking at Gavin she felt almost a little breathless as she looked over and saw Kyle. Well at least he was playing fair for right now. She stood straighter and brushed hair from her face trying to calm herself because she hated to admit the kiss was actually getting to her.“What Kyle what?” She snapped at him as he seemed to want to make her see something. “Why the hell do you get yourself into these messes?” She was of course referring to the last time she saw him after some form of dueling and that ended with the Hospital wing. “I am not sitting with you in the bloody hospital wing again.” The mental image of the brown stuff oozing from his head made her nauseous again. She looked like she had just ate something sour with the look on her face.Catching Kyle’s wand she looked at the two of them. “Just stop it! This is ridiculous!” She yelled looking at Kyle in his dueling stance. She looked at the wand in her hand and contemplated putting an end to this herself. She had her wand too so she could put an end to this couldn’t she? Skip to next post Re: Searching for the Room [Gavin & Kyle] Reply #16 on January 18, 2009, 09:46:30 PM It was now or never. Gavin's games came to an end when he finally spotted Kyle. At least he could see his opponent. That gave him a better advantage than he did four seconds ago. With one last look at Nicola, he had to be dramatic, he ran towards Kyle. He stopped about 10 feet from Gibson and frowned in concentration. He didn't like the idea of dueling a boy who clearly thought he was so much better than everyone else. Boo hoo, he lost some people big deal. It didn't matter now and the scars on Gibson's body just made Gavin want to vomit. He didn't need to see the boy half naked. Gavin had no intention of using dark magic in school, which was like yelling to the headmaster to expel him. It would just cause a mess in an end that Gavin didn't want to deal with. This duel was pointless. Pointing his wand to Kyle, he smiled at him. "If you were in the dueling club like you said previously, maybe we should do this properly." Gavin was lazy; there was no other way to describe him. He had little motivation to even get up in the morning let alone duel and boy who wasn’t even worthy of a wand. He teeth clenched, he didn’t want to admit it but he didn’t like the odds of the duel. Skip to next post Re: Searching for the Room [Gavin & Kyle] Reply #17 on January 18, 2009, 09:56:03 PM Gavin's arrogance irritated Kyle to no end. His nonchalant manner of dealing with the duel was also equally as obnoxious, and kissing Nicola... twice was really getting to Kyle. But he upheld a certain code which if his opponent didn't use dark magic, then he wouldn't either. Unless things just got really bad, then hell with the code let's blow some shit up. "There's no proper way. Duels just happen. Like now." Kyle stated firmly, pointing his wand at the ground to send a thrust of air, propelling him high up, six or seven feet above Gavin. As he was passing him from above. Kyle pointed his wand at the ground behind Gavin and sent a blasting charm, causing the floor to explode in every direction, hopefully sending Gavin off as well."If you were in the dueling club like you said previously, maybe we should do this properly." Kyle landed firmly on the ground, and produced a protego to deflect the shards from hitting him. For a split second Kyle looked back at Nicola and mouthed "I'm sorry", as his guilt was getting to him for starting the duel. But then again, Gavin was openly provoking him. Some things could not go without repercussion, and this duel proved it. He wouldn't try to hurt the boy beyond a simple healing spell, unless of course he tried to hurt him beyond such methods. Dueling was nasty business when dealing with nasty people, and unfortunately Gavin had enough friends that either outcome wouldn't look good. If Kyle won, he'd have to look out for any random attacks of revenge that might occur, but if he lost -- well, the entire school would know, and he would be shamed. "There was a reason I was kicked out of the club y'know Gav." Kyle said loudly, but not mockingly. Gavin let out as Kyle glided over him. When Kyle sent out a blasting charm, Gavin jumped out of the way. Clearly Gibson didn't want to kill Gavin, which was a plus. He didn't want to be killed by a Gryffindor; it was like reaching an all time low. With still debris flying everywhere, a piece of rock was heading straight at Gavin. He pointed his wand at a rock that was lying by his feet and enlarged it to protect himself. When the debris settled, Gavin pointed his wand once again at the enlarged rock. "Reducto!" He yelled out and the rock crumpled to the floor. He scanned the room for Kyle and found him, he was a tricky guy. The duel seemed a bit boring to him, like everything else in the world. Was this really necessary Gavin thought? He hated to be called a fool if he gave in. "Flipendo!" Gavin yelled out to Kyle. It wasn't the greatest of spells hopefully it would give him some time. Maybe even get another kiss from Nicola. "Listen Gibson," Gavin yelled out. "If you want to beat me then you will have to try harder then flying!!" It was easy to make fun of Gibson, he was such an easy target. It seemed like Kyle was controlled by his anger at times. Gavin was surprised to see that Kyle didn't kill Gavin when he kissed Nicola. If there was no other possible way to win, he would've course try some spells he was saving up for enemies. He didn't want to hurt Nicola though, because clearly Kyle was a good friend of hers. But if there was no other way -- which Gavin saw none; the duel would probably come out badly. He wasn't bad, that was certainly true. Kyle would have to get very creative if he was avoiding the use of dark magic for this duel. Though he had tendencies to be a hothead, Kyle was capable of controlling his rage and making reasonable decisions. It was something he prided himself on in comparison to his earlier years of havoc.Kyle dodged Gavin's spell narrowly, a little to close than he would have liked. It was time to step up the game. Deciding to use another one of Kyle's many dueling talents, he quickly shot a stunning spell in the general direction of Gavin, then repeated the burst of air spell to send him into the air, and in his arc of flight he sent a second stunning spell at Gavin, and as a third and final assault just as he landed Kyle sent a blasting charm to right behind Gavin, should he attempt to back up. Kyle's landing wasn't pretty as he went into a roll and an unpleasant crack filled the room. Kyle looked down to see that the bones in the forearm of his free hand were now sticking out. "Bloody -- damnit!" He cursed quietly, deciding he'd fight through the pain until the end of the duel."Let's go Gavin, try one at me!" He shouted, a comment on the other boy's pure defensive battle that had happened so far. "Come on, HIT ME!" He taunted, trying to evoke anger from his opponent as blood trickled down his left arm. Gavin had been attempting to stir Kyle's anger ever since they had met, so perhaps it was his turn to return the favor. This duel was one of Gavin's most challenging ones yet. He did know how to pick his enemies. Without blinking, Gavin blocked the first stunning spell coming his way. He had to hand it to Gibson, he was a fast one. The second one came a bit of a surprise; didn't he want Gavin to breathe? Jumping out of the way Gavin sent a stunning spell right back at Gibson, he missed only by a foot. As the third stun came his way, Gavin quickly twisted to the right but the damage was done, he broke his ankle."Come on, HIT ME!""Isn't this ironic Gibson," Gavin yelled out. It was hard to piss Gavin off; it wasn't his nature to get hasty. “We aren't landing a scratch on each other but we are hurting ourselves in the process." It wasn't a joke this time, Gavin was serious. If Gibson wanted to get hit, all he had to do was ask. "STAY STILL AND I'LL SNUFF YOU RIGHT IN THE FACE!" If he could even get there. If Gavin couldn't walk, then Kyle shouldn't see. Pointing his wand at Kyle, Gavin let out the Conjunctivitus Curse straight at him. He couldn't see the outcome; the pain in his leg was causing Gavin to not see straight. This was a pretty pitiful dueling. They were both too proud to do anything to stop this duel from happening and Nicola felt like it was pointless to step in, boys indeed would be boys. Nicola promised herself she would step in when this got ridiculous. She watched as Kyle pulled out his tricks she didn’t doubt he would pull, and then she watched as Gavin retaliated. This was just going to turn into one big mess. She watched as rocks and dust flew and settled, and then as stunning spells were sent this way and that. Nicola could feel her heart race she was nervous for both of them and furious with them too.Nicola heard the sounds of bones breaking and she cringed. “Crap,” she mumbled to herself and she looked to see blood moving down Kyle’s arm and Gavin on the ground. “Shut up the both of you, just stop!” She screamed out and walked to stand in between them. She wasn’t going to let any more spells fly between the two of them. This was totally out of hand. “This has gotten out of hand, way out of hand. Do you think I can mend bones? Scratches, and few other things yes but bones?” Nicola laughed at the very idea. “Now come on we best get you both to the hospital wing, and Kyle don’t even think about mending yourself this time.” Looking between the both of them. “Seriously stop this I am not afraid to curse either or you or throw a punch even though you have broken bones, honestly you deserve them with the way you have acted.” Nicola was now in an extremely bad mood. She walked to Kyle handing his other wand back before heading back over to Gavin, he was the one that need the help getting up and back to the infirmary. It was on the first floor and they were on the seventh, though there was a passageway that took them to the sublevels though. Skip to next post Re: Searching for the Room [Gavin & Kyle] Reply #22 on January 19, 2009, 10:06:27 PM Kyle, determined to finish the battle shot another blasting charm at the feet of Gavin, but as Nicola rushed up to stop the fight he sent a panicked protego to deflect the charm into a nearby wall. Kyle groaned, accepting that the battle was over or Nicola would probably, and very literally kill both of them he stuck his wand back in his pocket and walked over to the two.“Seriously stop this I am not afraid to curse either or you or throw a punch even though you have broken bones, honestly you deserve them with the way you have acted.”Kyle nodded, knowing better than to argue with a very pissed off Nic. He took the wand he handed her, putting it into his pocket as commanded. Though he had a good feeling this time around with healing, especially if he used Bailey's wand he decided it would best to obey any orders Nic gave. He now felt like a complete asshole for starting this quarrel, even if Gavin helped. Whatever was happening, Nic was out there with the boy for a reason and it wasn't right for Kyle to come in with a hurricane of anger, shouting things left and right. He looked down at his bleeding arm, his bone was promptly sticking out of the skin by several inches. Oh, great. There was a throbbing present but Kyle had been used to dueling injuries, and though this had probably been one of the much worse ones, he wasn't about to cry. The blood collecting down his arm was bothering him though, so he collected the shirt he had torn off earlier and began to wipe up the sticky mess, then threw it off to the side of the room telling himself to fetch it later. Looking more absurd than ever with a compound fracture, shirtless, blood all over his jeans, hair disheveled, and a scowl on his face Kyle walked past the other two heading for the medical wing in advance. If anything he would just mend his ankle himself but with the way Nicola was handling things he knew if he tried she would probably snap his wand in two. How typical of Gavin, getting into a predicament for no reason at all. He didn't want to explain in the hospital wing that the reason for his injury was that he had a pathetic duel with Gibson. He still had hatred for the boy, but knowing that Nicola was already upset he might just keep it low. He gave a weak smirk, only to assure he was okay, he got up with one leg. "Nicola I'm not crippled..." He trailed off starring at Kyle. He seemed to look worse than Gavin with the blood and all but Kyle had no trouble getting to the Hospital Wing. "I can hop on one foot or something. I don't want," he hesitated. The pain was harsh but he didn’t want Kyle to know he was hurt. Broken bones do hurt you know. Wincing, Gavin finished his sentence. "Kyle -- to waste his time on me. He can go but I do hope that he doesn't mention this to the head healer." It wasn't a smart move to go at the same time with Kyle anyway. Everyone, well at least everyone who had a brain, knew that Kyle and Gavin disliked each other. It was probably the best to go down before the swelling got worse. "Hey, maybe you can levitate me the whole way down eh?" joked Gavin. He glared a Kyle, a glare that anyone could see that this duel wasn't over yet, and he grabbed Nicola's hand. Maybe being this vulnerable wasn't a bad idea after all."Ohhh Nicola," Gavin whined. "What will I ever do? I can't walk; I might as well lay down here and die!" Skip to next post Re: Searching for the Room [Gavin & Kyle] Reply #24 on January 20, 2009, 12:41:22 AM Nicola was pleased to see that both knew not to mess where at this particular moment. She was pleased that Kyle was wise to stop what he was doing and not go against her demands. She was not going to stand next to Kyle while the Healer had to fix him up after another blunder; the last time was enough for her this month. The oozing mess she had seen was rather off putting, but she had to be there for her friend but a second time after she told him not to she wouldn’t be there to hold his hand. Professor Greyfair was right in saying that the healer could get to know Kyle, because not even a week later the boy was going to be back in her care mending a broken arm. This one in Nicola’s opinion was well deserved, as he was being a fool. Nicola was not to be one, and in the first place not to be fought over.“Not a cripple! Well you might as well be,” she snapped at Gavin. If he wanted to walk on his own, or in his case hop to the infirmary then he was more than welcome too. “Just don’t break the other one in the process of hopping,” she grumbled as she looked at him. Some adventure this had turned out to be. She had been dragged from a content spot of relaxation on the couch in the common room to witness the stupidity of the male gender in their teenage years, was their any hope for them as they grew older?Nicola was not amused by Gavin’s jokes or humour at this moment, nor was she pleased with the death glares being tossed between the two. This was the price Nicola paid for being friends with Kyle Gibson, the one who seemed to have an enemy everywhere he turned. As she felt a hand grasp for her she smacked Gavin backside the head. “You idiot stop with the damn dramatics,” Nicola knew it was just his way of trying to piss Kyle more as she was sure Gavin had a hope for Kyle to see a swooning Nicola. Like Nicola would soon for a boy who stupidly did this to himself! “Come on I will help you to the infirmary as I am not letting you hope on your own.” Nicola spoke gruffly as she wrapped an arm around him and encouraged Gavin to drape his arm around her shoulder. She didn’t see why he couldn’t just suck it up because he was lucky he was getting any help at all after kissing her, she was sorely tempted to sock him one now as she thought about it.“Kyle I will see you in the infirmary once we get there, please don’t mention your stupidity, come up with a reason for your own broken arm.” Nicola figured they could pull of something simple as Gavin feel down the stairs when they were heading back to the common room after being in the library or something. Nicola was bound to come up with something in the walk from the seventh floor to the first. Skip to next post

I can't walk; I might as well lay down here and die!" Skip to next post
Re: Searching for the Room [Gavin & Kyle] Reply #24 on January 20, 2009, 12:41:22 AM Nicola was pleased to see that both knew not to mess where at this particular moment.
