What experience has prepared your character for this title?
  • On top of perfect grades and perfect attendance, Esther has an equally perfect (if not more so) image: despite a remarkably close friendship with the likes of Bastian Desrosiers and Connor Todd, she has upheld not a reputation as their cohort or lackey, but as a frequent (and even successful) voice of reason and responsibility—one unafraid of asserting herself. Everything they have done? Could have been so much worse. When her friends seem to be on the verge of pushing things too far for even the most lenient of individuals, Esther is there to help keep them in check. And they are not easily persuaded.

What do you think will be the most important aspect of this position?
  • Enforcing the rules and values of their beloved school. For where is function and calm without order? Hogwarts is a respectable institution, a symbol of education and stability. And students need structure. Without rules, students would fall through the cracks, failed by a system they should have been able to rely on. Furthermore, they could pose a danger not just to each other, but to themselves. As a prefect, Esther would see to it that things ran in a safe and orderly fashion—not just for the school, but her fellow students as well.

Please provide a brief example of why your character deserves this title.
  • Years of friendship with Bastian Desrosiers and Connor Todd showcase patience, persistence, and leadership qualities. For all that she may sigh and roll her eyes, she truly does care, and it is this very concern that would see to it she will take her duties very seriously.
     
    For more specific examples, please refer to the Elf-Themed Cabaret of ‘07, the Astronomy Tower Incident of ‘08, and the Flash Mob of ‘09 that never happened.
