Mr. Pepper,

My name is Shade O'Connor and I have recently graduated from Hogwarts.  While I was thinking of a career with my folks, I have decided to take some friendly advice and try my hand at artistry.  I have done some sketches and I have been told they are good.  The reason I am writing to you is that I've heard you know a thing or two about art and was wondering if you would be willing to give me some pointers, or maybe you need an apprentice. 

I have included a few sketches that I have done recently so that you can make your decision with some knowledge of my skill.

I read with intrigue your brief letter of the 14th, and much enjoyed the sketches, which I return to you for safekeeping. You should keep them, after all, an artist must remember where he was once he becomes a master in years to come.
