"Very true.  I hadn't thought about that," Sasha admitted, nodding his head.  Then he grinned, nodding his head slightly, picturing a poor muggle trying to pretend to be a wizard with rabbit bites all over his fingers.  "And, it'd be hard to wear the hat.  The rabbit might ..." His voice trailed off.  He really didn't need to finish his thought about what might be left once the rabbit and hat were removed from one's head.

"Well, that's good," he said. Though there was some uncertainty about how her parents had taken the news, at least it wasn't obviously bad. It probably made the transition between the worlds easier.  "You wear your uniform at home?"  Sasha repeated, not sure why the idea intrigued and surprised him so much.  Perhaps it was that he wouldn't have ever considered the idea himself.  He hadn't ever really had the desire, he didn't think, though he would like it if his older sister could see his uniform.  She, alone out of the family, would probably accept the truth with little to no concern.  But, the line between the wizarding world and his home life had become so solid, his mind couldn't fathom anyone crossing it.

"They will," Sasha assured Megan, nodding his head.  "They meet with us next year.  Towards the middle of the year.  Our head of house told me during the middle of last year.  We'll get to choose our classes and drop those we don't want to take to free up time to study."  What he'd be dropping, he didn't know.  Perhaps, if he had a better idea of what he wanted to do, it'd be an easier decision to make.  His only consolation was that he had another year to consider it.

Meg smiled and nodded to what Sasha said. Yes, bites did hurt, especially ones from a rabbit. Since rabbits chew on carrots, their teeth must be in good condition, and easy to hurt someone who would put their fingers close to it. She immediately understood what Sasha meant as he trailed off. Yes, it was possible that it could happen. "If someone wore the hat, the rabbit could bite away at their hair too. I wonder if anyone became bald from it?" she responded humorously.

Tilting her head to the side, Meg listened to Sasha's question. "Well, not all of the time, only at times when my aunts, uncles, or cousins show up. I mean, the uniform does look like it could come from a muggle boarding school. So, that could help make my other family members actually believe the story. I could justify my other clothing by claiming that I play sports there too," she responded. After a few seconds, she suddenly realized that she had been constantly rambling off about her home life. Yes, that was probably something that Sasha wouldn't really want to know about. "Sorry if I've been rambling a lot," she apologized to Sasha, "It's just that I don't mind talking about my family. I hope I haven't been boring you with these odd pieces of information." She was clearly an enigma.

As Sasha spoke, Meg absorbed his words like a sponge. It was a relief to her, that she would be able to discuss her future plans with their head of house before taking their OWLs. Plus, it would give her a better idea of which classes she really needed to focus on. "That's good. At least we are slowly approaching our OWL exams, then everything would be finished for a while," she commented.

Sasha chuckled, but in his attempts to keep it on the quieter, less-intrusive side, it ended up coming out as a slight snort.  Hairloss the rabbit way.  It was, really, quite amusing and, really, seemed like a reasonable plotline for one of those late night comedy shows.  It would be, potentially, hilarious.

"Yeah, they do," Sasha admitted.  The uniforms had that quintessential British boarding school look.  And, complete with the house crest on the front - though, she probably didn't wear her robes.  "That's pretty neat," Sasha admitted.  "I don't ... I've never worn my uniform at home.  What sports do you tell them you play?"  Sasha offered his own family many of the same stories - he played sports; different sports than he actually did play at school.  Most of them he was pretty decent at and could pretend he'd been practicing all year when he went home.  With varying degrees of success.  "Oh, I don't mind," Sasha reassured her, truthfully.  He didn't mind hearing stories of others homes - especially from other muggleborns; it made his own situation seem less strange and unique.  "Your family sounds nice," ha added.

"Little over a year," Sasha said, turning back to his drawing.  "We'll be finished with those exams.  And, waiting for our scores."  Would he get his scores at home?  Disguised somehow like his book lists?  Would they come listed as the classes he was 'supposed' to be taking?  Or would they just hold his grades until he got back to school.  That'd be such a long and aggravating wait.

As Sasha laughed, Meg giggled a little. It was funny to imagine anyone losing hair all thanks to a rabbit's bite. Not only would that look funny, but how would one explain that hair loss? Rather than laughing at the hard to conceive trick, people would be laughing at the baldness. Clearly, that would put on a better show, at least in her mind.

Meg nodded to Sasha's agreement to what she said. Being a muggle-born, she surely noticed the similarities between the muggle and magical uniforms. "Well, I tell them the sports that I played before coming here. So, I tell them that I play namely football and tennis," she explained to him with a nod. She liked sports, even before coming to Hogwarts, thus she would continue on with that idea. Besides, it shouldn't be that much of a surprise, considering how determined she was to learn how to play Qudditch in the first place. After all, she did try her hardest. In addition, she did become competitive, and that couldn't have been learned anywhere else, other than with sports. She smiled to what he said, "Thanks. Yeah, they are. But, now it's hard to relate with them," she responded.

Meg nodded to what Sasha said. "Yeah, it's going to be a long and stressful summer after our OWLs. I hope they don't keep up waiting that long for our results," she commented. It would be nice for her to know her results relatively quickly. If the results were sent to her house, her parents would surely know., which worried her if she did not do well. Thus, the pressure would be on for her to deliver good grades.

Sasha vaguely remembered Meg mentioning she'd played football in the past.  In the muggle world, it was one of Sasha's favorite sports.  He loved playing and he loved watching.  There were few at the school that really understood the passion many muggles held for the sport and those that usually understood were quite likely to be muggleborns.  "What position did you play?" he asked, a new enthusiasm in his voice.  Tennis was a sport he'd never, admittedly gotten into.  "Do you have a favorite team?  Or do you not follow it much anymore?"

"You too?"  He knew he shouldn't be surprised that others felt that same dichotomy.  But, at least for him, that feeling was among the many that he, ultimately, held close.  Most any topic involving home he kept at a distance while at school and, as a result, frequently found himself surprised to find there were some experiences he did share with others at school.  His immediate desire was to, as usually, clam up again and let the topic drop.  But, he forced himself to pursue it - at least to the degree it felt comfortable.  "It's weird, isn't it?  Going home.  You never really know what to talk about or even how to talk to them.  Can you tell if  your parents feel the same way?"  It was the element of this predicament that Sasha really didn't know about.

"I don't know how long it takes to get the grades.  I didn't ask." Sasha said, shrugging his shoulders.  One of the major drawbacks to his predicament.  Just like his stuff, his grades remained at Hogwarts.  He always received his grades at the start of the new year, after he was well away from home.

Meg looked over at Sasha as he asked her what position she had played back when she did play. Now, she barely ever played, unless it was with some of her cousins. She found it hard to continue on after going to Hogwarts, and thus she couldn't play too much anymore. "I used to play a defender as a full-back. It's kind of hard to follow it while here. I have cheered for England's team, but I like Italy's more," she responded. Yes, she might root for England's team, but she would still want Italy's team to win even more. But, that was just her opinion, not necessarily what Sasha would actually agree with her.

Shrugging, Meg looked over at Sasha as he asked about her feeling hard to relate with her parents. "Well, yeah. I mean, if I would tell my parents about anything here at Hogwarts, I would spend more time explaining to them about everything rather than what I actually did. With my grades, that isn't too hard to explain the different grading system, but most everything else, I try to offer the least amount of detail. It's hard to say how they feel. I mean my parents understand that there is a difference. Certain questions my parents no longer ask me after the awkward conversations after my first year. I hope that you don't have too much trouble talking about anything here?" she asked him. Sure, she had problems talking with her parents. Thus, why she had no idea what career would be best for her to pursue. But, she figured that one closely mirrored by in the muggle world would be best, so she wouldn't have to explain as much.

"Maybe the same length of time as our regular grades from finals?" she wondered. Certainly she had no idea. But, she hoped that the grades weren't withheld all the way to the end of the summer. That would be too long of a wait for her. Despite that fact, every student there wouldn't share her same desire.

Though the sport had fallen, somewhat, by the wayside, there was a time that Sasha played football extensively.  He'd played competitively throughout school before Hogwarts and during the summers during his first few years.  But, as the years progressed, it seemed his time had become more and more limited.  Football had fallen to the wayside, though he still found himself in the casual game or two over the summer but only when time allowed.  "I'm usually goalie.  I love it.  Either you had nothing to do or too much."

He nodded his head; perhaps saying he was in favor of England, too, was part of the loyalty thing but, like Megan, his favorite team was abroad.  "Yeah, I know I'm supposed to say I root for England but, most of the time, they aren't that good.  I usually root for Germany - especially Munich.  Their team's pretty top notch."

It was mind boggling, considering trying to explain anything about school at home.  Anytime he thought of it, he couldn't help but imagine how utterly badly it'd go.  And, what would happen afterwards, he could only guess. "But, at least they try to understand," Sasha said, turning back to his sketch.  "Or, they're content to let it just be where it is."  He grew quiet and shook his head.  He knew it was somewhat unfair to sit here listening to her stories and offer none of his own but he still couldn't.  Whenever he thought about it, the embarrassment just grew too profound.

Meg hadn't played football for a while, mainly since she was at Hogwarts. She felt uncomfortable joining any of her old friends, knowing full well that there would be far too many awkward questions. Clearly, she couldn't declare that she attended Hogwarts, and that would be a touchy subject. "Either way, that is not necessarily a good thing," she responded with a small smirk. That was especially true when one's ego got in the way.

Nodding her head, she listened to what Sasha said. Despite the fact that they both lived in England, they didn't exactly like England's team. At the very least, they didn't like England's team that much. "I see, they're good too. Did you attend the 2006 world cup? I was only able to watch it sadly, since my cousins were over my house at that time," she responded.

Tilting her head to one side, Meg glanced at the drawing that Sasha was making. Her seemed to be relatively mum on anything due to his family. "It doesn't help that I have to keep it all in," she replied. Still looking at his drawing, she added, "Nice horse," with a smile on her face.

Sasha nodded, eagerly.  The World Cup had, indeed, been the highlight of the summer after his second year.  "I did!  Well, most of it.  The group games started before I got of school, but we went over to Germany just after I got home.  We still have family that lives south of Munich, so we went to the games held there.  And we did go up to Berlin for the final game.  I was glad Italy beat France."  He grinned slightly, leaning over his page.  "When I was little, I used to hope I'd get onto a national team.  It, obviously, won't happen, but it'd be great to play in the World Cup."

Of course, like most kids, his dreams and aspirations for the future changed regularly as he aged but professional sports of some kind had always been in the mix of possibilities.  It had been his release from studying.  The family-approved past time.

Unlike drawing. It wasn't a family-approved past time.  'Thanks," Sasha offered, with a grin, adding some shading to the hairs of the mane.  "You can have it when I'm done, if you want.  I can't take it home so I'd just be tossing it anyway."

Meg nodded to what Sasha said, noticing how certain topics he seemed more interested in talking about. It was more likely attributed to the fact that those topics were the ones that he enjoyed, but it was apparent nonetheless. "That's good that you were able to see the final game in person. It was a great match. And, you could still technically play in the World Cup. You would just need to join a team when you graduate, then it's possible," she responded. It was still a possibility that Sasha could play, no matter how thin that possibility could be. Besides, if he wanted to play football, nothing would technically stop him after he would eventually graduate Hogwarts in a few years.

Looking back down at Sasha's drawing, Meg smiled to what he said. It was a nice gesture to make, and it added to the fact that the drawing wouldn't be wasted. "Thanks. And that's why I tend not to show my art work," she added to him. Quickly looking at her watch, she realized that she needed to get going. "Sorry Sasha, but I need to go ask our Charm's professor a question about the Charm that we just learned. I'll see you later," she said to him with a smile as she packed up her bag, ready to head back up to the castle.

((ooc: I decided to wrap things up a little faster if you don't mind. =) ))
