Creature Training Projects on October 03, 2014, 01:13:46 PM Creature Training ProjectsPast and PresentStarting winter, students (4th year and above) are responsible for the care of a creature, as well as teaching it a necessary or new skill. Once the proposal is approved, the student may then visit Hagrid’s Hideaway, where the creatures will be kept with the others. Every 1-hr class (Tuesdays & Thursdays, see Class Schedule) 15-20 minutes are set aside to attend to them. Students are expected to keep a log, submit a 2’ paper on their results, and make a presentation at the end of the year. Creatures are then returned to their proper sanctuaries.So long as it isn’t particularly rare, homicidal, overpowering, likely to be nationally protected or just plain illegal in any way– any of which would pose sufficient detriment to her ability or willingness to procure a creature for a student –a creature should, in theory, be acceptable. 5X’s, of course, are prohibited. 4X’s are possible, but student ability will be judged more strictly; a 4th year would be less likely to get one than a NEWT student, and simply being a NEWT student is not a guarantee.
