The second years had been her favorite bunch of students. They wiped their own noses, they were not dazzled and dumb about being at magical school for the first time, and they still liked playing in the dirt. "Soil!" as they all chimed in after having learned the rich earth's proper name. "Dirt is from under your bed!"
They'd gotten used to each other in these last few months, and she expected they'd rise to the challenge.."Five minutes to review and then we'll begin! I have complete faith in you and trust me when I say the floor has been repaired. I expect no interruptions."
She clasped her hands and smiled at the students as they rustled arounds with notes and flash cards. There had been a great deal of memorizing for this group and so she allowed them the boon of a little extra panicked revision.
The time seemed to pass in seconds! And Branwen clapped her hands and then raised her wand. "Notes away! Stow them or I'll stow them for you. You can all have a ritual burning after you're through."
When the students open the booklet, each page has a collection of questions. Sometimes accompanied by a picture, sometimes, a space left for a longer answer. There were true and false, multiple choice, and matching. The last 10 pages of the exam were raw identification. Just two plant illustrations per page, with a line for the name of the plant.
Find in the next post a sprinkling of the questions your second year faces. It's up to you if you want to make a role-play post describing their attempts, or to answer the questions, or both. In the first situation, you essentially decide your final grade, in the second you're relying on your own wit and thus I'll decide, and in the latter, it's a combination of both! PM if you have any questions or concerns.
For those who cannot or choose not to sit the final, we'll assume your student did and that their grade matches the grade you've already sent me.
