               Alex,

I would wish you a good summer, but we know you will have one
whether or not anyone is foolish enough to think otherwise.
Although I for one might perhaps enjoy such a thing, as it no
doubt would prove more amusing than not. And it would
certainly supply fodder for nostalgia, should we somehow find
ourselves without more suitable material to entertain.

May you continue to enjoy yourself regardless of others, and that
endeavours with your reckless friends bear satisfactory results.
I don't suppose one of them would be a quiet disposal of a certain
Ravenclaw...?

I jest, of course.

                                                                                                                 Much love,
                                                             Theo

You're my wonderwall.

(She got me with nothing to win
And nothing left to lose)

I'll be waiting,

Reading the first note, Gracie snorted. “We would not,” she loftily informed him. And paused. “Well, not for you, anyway. Quill, please.”

Looking amused, Theo handed it over.

Alex, Miss Best Eyes & Most Cynical:

You are an extremely perfect being and deserving of many hugs
(ALL the hugs), a most excellent source of wit, a goddess of disdain,
a glorious President, and, as recent events have proven, an extremely
handy witch with a pair of handcuffs.

With Raine, you are one of my best friends. Without Raine, you are
still one of my best friends. I don't know where I'd be without you–
sitting more exams hungover, probably. And getting lower marks,
studying isn't much fun (or frequent, if I'm honest :D) without you.
Without a doubt you are one of my most favorite people, and I look
forward to creating new things and going on more road trips with
you in the near future.

What should we do next, do you think? Shall we hijack a dragon?

Do I have your attention yet? We aren't even apart - and we shan't be until the summer is well over - but I already miss you. Such dry wit, such acerbic retorts! I'm looking forward to helping you and Gracie raise hell on the summer trip but you should know that I do appreciate our quieter days too, rare as they are. Soar smoothly.

P.S. Dragons are so trite, Gracie, let's do something different.

Alex, I don't know why you weren't voted for best personality. I voted for you for that category, so I clearly matter more than all those flobberworms. Thank you for helping me so much this year (and every year before this one, if we're going to be technical). You're my favourite big sister, and I love you to pieces. I'll miss you not being there for my birthday, but enjoy the trip bunches and bring me something amazing, and then I will forgive you.

Just kidding. I love you too much to not forgive you.

Anyway... I should probably stop hogging your yearbook now. I'll see you over the summer, though!

Love Always From Your Most Favourite Whitman,

Maddie

Alex. Witty Alex, scathing Alex...

the only other kid above the age of 13 that I know of, that my
brother speaks well of (even if it is in less than complimentary tones)

I don't think I've ever met another student such as you, and
I don't think I ever will. Being a bright, self-possessed, and
terrifyingly capable kid such as yourself, I have all the faith
that you will continue to be, and handle anything the future
throws at you with aplomb. (You, I mean. Not the future.)

Thank you for minding – and enduring – my brother thus
far; I know he can be a pain, seeing how he isn't as
cheerful a teacher as I. May your first trip as an adult be a
great one, and the rest of your summer at that. I look
forward to more visits from you this coming year.
