London Forecast for June 1 - 30, 2010

Though the first day of June will be grey and wet, conditions will improve over the course of the first week.  A brief storm system will bring a round of thunderstorms to the Greater London area on Tuesday, June 8^th.  Conditions will improve but it will remain windy through the end of the second week.  Summer settles in in earnest for the rest of the month with temperatures ranging from warm to hot and plenty of sun.  As June closes, a very weak storm system will bring a few scattered showers to the area on Tuesday, June 29^th

Summer arrives in earnest across London.  June will feature several long stretches of warm temperatures across the region. Some days towards the end of the month will likely feel downright balmy.  However, enjoy those warm summer evenings.  After the solstice, the warm temperatures in the evening will be perfect for a dinner al fresco and a late night stroll through Diagon Alley.  We all know how fleeting summer can be - enjoy it while you can!

The week of June 6^th through 10^th will bring our only major weather event of the month.  Moderate rains will cover the city but temperatures will stay warm.  Though the rain will stop on Thursday, expect conditions to feel a little humid and sticky through June 11^th.  Tuesday June 7^th will be especially wet with thunderstorms, high winds and plenty of rain.


Hogsmeade & Hogwarts Forecast for June 1-30, 2010


The first day of June will be cooler than usual in Hogsmeade with a few scattered showers in the area.  The rest of the first week hints at the ever blossoming summer.  Temperatures will be pleasantly warm with only scattered showers through the day on Saturday, June 5^th. 

Blustery Weather for Exams!
Just in time for Hogwarts exams, a strong storm system will rumble into the mountains, bringing heavy rains, lightning and thunder.   A gentle rain will start to fall in the evening on Saturday, June 5^th but conditions will quickly deteriorate.  By Monday, June 7^th, thunderstorms will drench the area and linger overnight and into Tuesday.  The rain will, finally, start to abate on Thursday, June 10^th but clouds will linger and the occasional shower will mar the end of year feast. 

Stunning Weather to Celebrate Students’ Departure
Conditions improve shortly after the Hogwarts Express rumbles out of Hogsmeade.  Clouds will linger and slowly clear out through Thursday, June 17^th but the sun will start showing it’s face, at times, for the week of June 20^th.  Temperatures will warm considerably and there’ll only be the typical afternoon mountain shower.
