The Turmalina

Although students will not be commencing their trip on the famed riverboat - on loan from Amazonian wizards - it is nonetheless where they will be spending a majority of their time. Your ship captain is Rick Donovan and the boat's resident Mediwitch is Sera Park. Enjoy your stay and please mind the figurehead.

Top Deck

The top deck of the ship is a dining and assembly area that may be generally accessed by all trip members at all times. Meals, announcements and workshops (unless otherwise specified) are typically taken here.

Students and chaperones are allowed access to most areas of the Turmalina without invitation except: the Captain's Bridge, the Chaperone's Lounge and the Engine room. Please refer to Trip Guidelines for further information about rules and regulations.

Chaperone's Lounge

A relaxed space for adult characters to take a breather and discuss trip details. Only chaperones and ship staff are allowed in the lounge. Students may enter if requested by an adult. The room features a living area, a small kitchen, and several muggle amenities - including satellite television.

Cabins

The Turmalina's cabins sport similar furnishings to one another. Rooms are enchanted to increase in size and quality, proportionate to the number of occupants - this is to encourage sociability amongst students. Default appearance is featured above, and cabins are limited to a maximum of three to four occupants.

Each cabin comes equipped with beds, cabinets, chairs, a window overlooking the external walkway, and an en suite bathroom.

Siem Reap-Angkor

Welcome to Cambodia, our first stop for the summer trip! Students will travel via portkey to the Siem Reap International Airport, from where a fifteen minute bus ride will take them to Sala Lodges. A majority of your time in Siem Reap will involve exploring old ruins and soaking in the local colour. Free time is expected to be spent at the resort but students may acquire special permission from chaperones to explore other areas, if desired.

The Lodge

Sala Lodges is owned by an expatriate British wizarding family from Cornwall. Students are expected to be courteous to hotel staff and to avoid getting into trouble with the locals. The official language of Cambodia is Khmer and it is recommended to learn a handful of phrases prior to arrival.
